If you go, go only to see a relatively new building that has been built to look like one that is 100's of years old. Another reason to visit is if you like dodging strollers and young children in tight quarters. Everyone's taste is different but the wine and the experience was just not good. It felt like it had... We enjoyed the tour of the castle and found the building to be very impressive. Our tour guide Joe was very informative and entertaining. Finally, the wine tasting was very good.

Wow, this was a great start for us. The Castle history interesting, at the beginning it felt like tourist trap boy I was wrong. A must do the Royal food-wine pairing tour, Maria was very friendly , loves her food and wines and shared her amazing wine and food knowledge with us in a very relax way. Only one tour... More

My wife and I got the impression from some people we met during other tours/tastings that Castello di Amorosa was more of a tourist trap than the others. Having been there, and to a few other tastings, we'd have to disagree. We took the full tour and did the reserve tasting as well. The castle is just awesome, IMO. Very... More

As someone suggested, upgrade to reserves in member room. We were spirited up there by a manager and it was a Fantastic experience! Can be touristy in the castle.....but it's a CASTLE! Very cool to wander around and check out the construction and various rooms. This is a MUST SEE stop if you are in Calistoga. Didn't end up finding... More

Good wines! Amazing building! They do this up right. Have visited probably three times over the years and can say I'm never disappointed. The self guided tour is a good idea of the place and was fun to wander around. So many photo ops. The wine tasting staff is knowledgeable and friendly every time we go. They never make you... More

Sullivan Vineyards , Far Niente, Spottswood in a class 10x better than fake Castle. Wines at Castello are rated by magazines and employees , not real vintners

Brought our kids to this Tuscan Castle Wine tasting tour. The ambience is very nice. Kids were given non-alcoholic drink (grape juice) while we adults were given different wines to taste. There were different products for sale in the castle. Nice afternoon time spent in this beautiful place in Napa Valley.

Real castle like feeling, fun to walk around and explore for kids. We were not keen on trying the wines, but as it's included with the entrance fee, we did. Amazing wines, wild variety. The best surprise are the peacocks flying up to the top of the trees.
