Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A guide should be used because the trek might be challenging and because they can tell you about the temples and monasteries along the way. Additionally, it's crucial to come prepared for the trek with the right hiking equipment, ample water, and food. Additionally, it is advised to check with local authorities for the most recent information on trail conditions, as they can vary depending on the time of year.

It's a 5 hours walk from the road point. The Hike begins with the opening gate (Zee Go) formed by two standing rocks. There are many rocks and caves formation associated with Guru Rinpoche and each of them has a story and significance.

The other site to visit at Chumbu is the Guru Rimpoche Caves. There are several caves used by Guru himself and some caves used by his consorts Khandro Mendharawa and Khandom Yeshey Tshokey.
Happy hike!

Chumphu Nye is located on a hilltop and completely isolated from the town. The whole trek is mesmerizing and gives you the feel of divine tranquility. It may take about 7 to 8 hours hike back and forth.
The walk is nurturing. The pristine environment filled in with rich faunal diversity with the touch of old man beard will promise you to make your hike a comforting one.
The whole hike is a Pilgrim progress. The stones, caves, waterfall all have their story to tell as you pass by. You will be walking the path which was once traversed by Guru Rinpoche, Khandrola Mendharawa and Khandrola Yeshey Tshogyel.

You can also choose to sit next to the cave where Guru and his consorts have meditated and feel the divine presence. The whole energy there is conducive for silence and meditation.

And the best part of the hike is witnessing Dorji Phamo(Vajra Vairavi/ Vajrayogini) monastery. She is literally floating in the air, defying gravity. You can feel her divine grace all around the place.
