Be prepared wen u visit this Monastery. It’s a 3 hr hike up n 2.5 hrs hike down. Both my n my wife made it after practicing weekly by jogging. Btw, we are in the late fifties. It’s a very strenuous n exciting trekking experience....More

I don't have any words to explain the journey from bottom of the hill through a beautiful forest to the serenity of Taktsang or Tiger Nest. Old people go at your own risk as the road is very stiff.......it takes normally 8 to 10 hrs...More

The famous Tiger's Nest which is the brand ambassador of Bhutan is rightly named so. It's a not so hard hike and gives an awesome view at the end

If you have the will you can make it on foot. It is certainly worth the effort. Just take water and rain coat. It is useful to have a guide to explain the history and intricate details of the different deities and each temple

A peaceful ambiance and ravishing beauty of the architectural structure of the monastery is eye-pleasing. Guru Padmasambhava is said to have meditated here and I felt the divinity of him each second I was in the monastery.

Check about the availability of the tickets we started at 7am but there were people who already started by 5 am.I doubt about allowing in snow time as the path is slippery & dusty. Do carry walking sticks you can hire... More
