There are lots of things to see here - old historical buildings, flowers, trees and most of all peacocks and peahens. Lots of walking and sight-seeing here. A good pair of shoes is highly encouraged - unless you are like me and like wearing flip-flops. Bring your camera with you and be ready to take some pics. If you get... More

This is a really nice place to take a walk, to take pictures and just stroll. It is the ranch home of the late Leo Carillo who was an old time film star. There are many peacocks around this area too and just nice to stroll around.

So nice. Visitor center has short, interesting film. The docents are very helpful. The park gives you a glimpse of what old California was like and it only takes a little imagination to block out the new California on the surrounding hills to get a feel for the life 70 years ago. Prefowl roam around and let you get close.... More

I had seen this historic park on tripadviser so went to visit. GPS took us to a walking trail behind the museum so drove a couple of blocks around and found the parking lot. Very interesting ranch and museum. Did not realize that Leo Carrillo was 70 years old when he did the Cisco Kid television series. They have guided... More

Although this park is not on the ocean, it makes a wonderful visit. Leo Carrillo, AKA "Poncho," bought and developed this ranch and raised cattle for many years. Carlsbad took over and has continued to develop this facility. The guides and staff are very helpful. They are knowledgable take time to tell you about the park. This park gives a... More

I watched the Cisco Kid and Poncho when I was a kid. Loved learning about Poncho and what a great person he was. Free admission and tour. We lucked out had a tour guide just for the two of us. She was great explaining the history of the ranch and Leo's love of this place. Highly recommend this place .

We visited this place just about one week ago and loved it. Our tour guide Ron did a fantastic job and brought live back into this ranch. It didn't take much fantasy to see Hollywood stars everywhere and wish you'd lived back then... Don't miss out on this experience!
