This is a marvelous world class beach, although the water is cold. We went down a flight of steps, too steep but its very rewarding, We dipped our feet and stayed for a little while to enjoy the almost white sand.

Fun to watch the scuba divers enter this deepest part of the Monterey underwater preserve.! They all congregate here in the morning and tell people of their sights if you ask them.

this cove is a part of Point Lobos Park, which is excellent. Got to see about a dozen sea lions sunning on the beach!

Beautiful hike through Point Lobos State Park and you will find this little beach, Gibson Beach. Through a narrow rickety wooden stairs you will find a slice of heaven!

China Beach is one of several exquisite spots to visit in Point Lobos Reserve. Admittedly the Cypress Trail is the most spectacular, but China Beach will not disappoint.

There isn't a point in the park that's not worth the trip. We didn't spend a ton of time here only because it was chilly and really breezy that day, so getting in the water wasn't an attractive idea.

We return every time to the area. Get your walks in and absorb the natural beauty. Don’t miss China Cove & Gibson beach at the end of the park. Get there early cause it does fill up. Don’t miss!

Of course China Cove is a magical location because it is a part of the Point Lobos State Reserve. Take a friend or a loved one on a peaceful walk through the Reserve, listen to the pines 'sing' as they sway with the ocean breeze,...More

Very pretty area, great for families and couples to visit. Nice places to ear and lots of tourist stuff to buy.

I'm sorry, I don't know either, but if you find you can it would be awesome. I will ask next time I am there and post it here.
