Hike to the top of the stairs and overlook China Cove. The water color is indescribably blue. This time of the year, the seals are nursing their pups. So worth the trip.

China Cove is at the south end of Point Lobos. Take the road heading south to the parking lot, then 10-15 minutes of hiking to watch the sea otters (from a distance, the path down to the beach was closed).

Gibson beach is slightly off the beaten path, with a fairly steep ladder for going down to the beach, so not many people were there when we visited couple of days before Xmas. The view is absolutely amazing both from top of the hills before...More

This is a beautiful hike near Bird Island in Point Lobos. The hike to the stairs that take you down to the beach is fairly easy. The stairs down to the beach are an adventure and not for the faint of heart.

So worth the trek to this beach. Get there early to avoid the crowds and to get the best photo ops. Wear good walking shoes.

I'm sorry, I don't know either, but if you find you can it would be awesome. I will ask next time I am there and post it here.
