Nostalgic for us since we lived here in the past. It is something one should do to see the ocean in action as well as world-class golf courses.

We took "The Monterey Movie Tour" the first time. It was really interesting to see the spots that movies were filmed as they were shown on a tv screen on the bus. We drove the second time and stopped at several spots along the road.

I was skeptical about paying to drive a road, but really enjoyed looking at the beautiful scenery and homes on this drive. Definitely recommend it.

Brutal weather right now in Mid Feb '17, trees down on the road, landscaping torn up and detours. Best wait until the high winds and torrential rains cease and desist.

We enjoyed cocktails and snacks in the Terrace Lounge (has elegant inside seating). It costs $10 to do the drive, but that is taken off your bill at The Lodge if you... More

Worth the drive, beautiful homes, cliffs, beaches. Lots of places to pull over to park and get out to walk the beach

Great drive in any kind of weather. Slow pace makes it very enjoyable. Many turn offs to pull over in and take pictures.

Definitely worth the fee to this park since the coastline is different here than anywhere else in the area. There are so many places to sit and watch the enormous waves crash against the rocks that we pretty much had our own private area for lots of the stops (maybe because we were off season though). We saw a few... More

Spectacular houses and golf courses, in spectacular locations. Numerous places along the coastline well worth a stop for exploring and photos.
