This is a lovely walk on a fine summers day. The view of the coast line is amazing. The beach is clean and the walk way is beautiful

Get a taste of local architecture along this iconic road along the ocean in Carmel. You might even see dolphins, sea otters, sea lions and maybe a whale. There is a lovely path and a million dollar public bathroom along the way. My favorite walk is from 8th and Scenic to Carmel River Beach and back, but you can shorten... More

Whether you walk or drive, this is a MUST SEE! You won't know which way to look - at the wonderful and charming (look for their nicknames), multi-million dollar houses on the street or out at the aquamarine ocean that is crashing on top of the rocks in the white sand bay. Wonderful site for photos. Great view of the... More

We love this walk. Wear comfortable shoes. Easily accessed right before the base of Ocean Ave (go to the left). When reaching the Carmel River beach, head back to town via multiple quaint streets.

This is perhaps the most beautiful scenic walk in the US. Not only is the trail along the ocean cliffs spectacular, but the close up view of charming and quaint Carmel storybook cottages is amazing.

If you've ever fantasized about living in a house that looks like a glammed up multi-story hobbit hole -- or a 16th century castle revival, this is the walk for you.

This a walkable area that allows a person to absorb the beauty of the ocean and the homes around the vies. Can't get enough and easy enough for most people to get out and enjoy exercise and scenery at same time.

After the beach we decided to drive instead of walk. OMG!!! Unreal! the homes are stunning, the views are to die for, just boggles the mind.bSpots even more beautiful than the 17 mile drive! It made us want to pack our bags and move there!!! Hard to believe that's the view that some people see every day, I wonder if... More

Beautifully maintained with gorgeous scenery and views. Now that the adjacent road is one way, it is even better. You can walk along the path and then head up at any time into the adjoining neighborhoods and see the houses. Really great.

It is easy to miss this road, but don't. Look for the houses with the crooked roofs and the crooked chimneys...I call one The Hansel and Gretel house. Then stop many times just to look at the ocean...and hopefully you will be lucky enough to be there at high tide when the waves crash against the rocks. Get out and... More
