Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My two kids and I were strolling around Carmel-by-the-Sea and stopped into Dawson Cole Fine Art. The folks in there were wonderful and told us all about Richard MacDonald. What fabulous sculpture! Highly recommend.

During a recent stop in Carmel I visited the Dawson Cole fine art gallery. As a golfer I was drawn in by a magnificent sculpture "Anatomy of a Golfer", in the window.
Inside the gallery is beautifully laid out, the sculptures on show are wonderful, and it was here I was introduced to the work of Richard Macdonald.
If you are visiting Carmel in California, drop in and I am sure you will enjoy the work of this extremely talented artist, you don't have to be a collector or golfer to enjoy this gallery.

We went to Dawson Cole Fine Art. The sculpture pieces are done based on real people. I was in particularly intrigued with the Cirque du Soleil piece. I spoke to the staff at the art gallery and she told me all about the piece.
This art work is amazing to see. It would be nice to own such amazing art.

A beautiful gallery designed to best display the amazing work of local sculptor Richard MacDonald. His work shows mastery of human anatomy as the sculpture is often of ballet dancers, sportsmen in motion. The prices of the art are prohibitive but a quick walk through the gallery is worth the visit.

This gallery has only the work of Richard McDonald. It is sculpture at its finest. The owner is his daughter, Michelle, and she and the other personnel are friendly and informative. There are always one or two videos running showing the creative process. Whether you are a collector or not, you can't help but enjoy a visit. The art is expensive, but well worth it. When in Carmel, this is a must see gallery.

Richard MacDonald has a flair for beauty and sculptures the fairly new building is displaying many great artists and might not look like your Carmel Cottage but the space and the collections are superb, one block off Ocean Ave and all the Carmel by the Sea Village
