Had a fun time one afternoon while staying at the lodge. Good wine selection, laid back atmosphere, fountains, bug oak trees. Had their reds tasting- comes with a cheese platter- left a lot to be desired. Go for the experience. You can also order pizza from Corkscrew cafe next door. Which is a wonderful thing if you like pizza and... More

One of many wine tasting rooms located on the main drag in Carmel Valley. You can easily walk to 10-12 tasting rooms in a long afternoon (we did). They have several different set "flights" of wine that you can taste. Each flight comes with a small plate of bread and cheese, which was a perfect addition. Great patio area to... More

I loved this place so much I joined the wine club. We had Georis wine at two different restaurants during my visit, and it was so good I wanted to go to the tasting room in Carmel Valley. This wine is very, very good. The Chappelle is their signature and it't delicious, but the Pinot and Cabernet are really excellent... More

Really enjoyed trying the Georis wines. I had the Estate flight that included the Pinot Noir and two other red blends. My husband had a glass of Pinot. The girls working there were very informative about the types of wines in their brand and good background on the owner and winemaker. Tasting flights come with French bread and two types... More

Georis has some exceptionally good wines. We particularly liked their rose and Sauvignon blanc. The outdoor tasting area is lovely, with some sofa seating and complimentary cheese and bread. However, be aware that they will not waive your tasting fee ($20) even if you're buying a case of wine. They will only waive it if you join their wine club,... More

I tried a Grand Tasting of cab franc, merlot, petites vingnes cab sav, and estate la chapelle...marvelous wines...The estate vine was truly special...but I also enjoyed the merlot. It was nice that the Georis wines could be served across the courtyard at the Corkscrew Bistro. The wines appeared poured in glasses in a 4 glass metal basket, in order to... More

Interesting tasting room in Carmel Valley. Looks like an old Spanish house. Plenty of outdoor seating. Plenty of tasting choices. Knowledgeable staff. Delivery options for shipping were limited.

Georis was recommended to us by the wonderful folks at the Parsonage tasting room just down the road. We were cautioned that theirs is a "slightly more European" style of wine which is just fine by us - we like them nice and oaky and light and minerally - and we were not disappointed. Their chardonnay and cabernet franc stole... More

What a delightful hour at Georis. DH and I shared a flight of the red wines which came with a small plate of two cheeses and some delicious, crusty bread baked next door at the Corkscrew Cafe. We were told the pours were equivalent to about one and half glasses and since this was not our first stop, we opted... More

Great wine and beautiful grounds,. tasting room is a hacienda-type building with Spanish/Mexican type vintage repo artifacts, as well as dvds/books for sale. But what I really enjoy is the grounds, with native plantings, very "mission-esque", with tables set out for sipping and noshing. The tastings come with a fee- $15-25 IIRC. But you get 5-6 glasses of good pours... More
