I spent some mornings and evenings on this beach while on holidays in Carpinteria. It is quiet, clean and has breathtaking views of the mountains. I picked up a smoothie in town, and sat on the beach in the mornings. A fantastic beach! Lots of bathrooms and showers available too.

You are going to enjoy every moment from the sunrise to the end of the most beautiful sunset and well into night under the gorgeous California skies. Surf, sunshine, sand, and sip- what a formula for a great vacation! Fun, friends, frolic and food- anytime any season. Best sunsets on this world's safest beach!

I stayed here for two nights. All other residents camping were very friendly. The shower blocks were clean and tidy and the Rangers always busy keeping the site clean and respectable. The beach is a stones throw away from the campsite. The beach is super clean and views are awesome. In two days I saw whales jumping out of the... More

The campground was an average campground. The beach was pretty. The only problem, is that the paths to the beach are all up hill and the sand is very deep to get there. It is a short walk but it is pretty difficult to get up the little hill.

The campgrounds, though divided into multiple sections, are pretty much one big parking lot. In many instances you're packed in side by side, like sardines. But it's right on the beach, which is great for kids. Meaning: your fellow campers are often large families and kids are noisy because that's their job. If you're an older couple who prefer more... We camped here in a group site. It was a great place to camp - close to the beach, close to restaurants and grocery stores, good sites, running water. We had a group site next to a large grassy area. The kids loved playing wiffle ball and kick ball on the grass. The playground was a big hit. We enjoyed... More

There is a nice campground here and it was full when we drove through. You can see the beautiful sunset from the beach here.

Carpinteria, home to about 16,000 lucky locals, feels like it doubles in size during the summer - what with one of California's best campsites, (right on the beach!) - to the multitude of vacation rentals that fill up - and the myriad of 'day trippers' that drop in from May through October. Still, 'Carp' (as the locals call it), has... More
