Spend some time and tour the Coronado Hotel, it's old and ornate, ride the old metal elevator just to say you did it). Not a big place but look through the shops, eat at the restaurants (HINT- try Sheerwater's) or go for home made ice cream (usually long lines). Find the pressed penny machines for a great, inexpensive souvenir.

The hotel is really nice, you have good restaurant and you will find interesting things to go around and shop. Take sometime to do the hotel tour.

This Visitor Center provided information needed but there is not a lot on offer. Worth a visit if you need information about Coronado or San Diego.

We purchased tickets for the USS Midway Museum Tour. The attendant was very helpful and went above and beyond to help us get discounted tickets. It is a nice center, clean bathrooms and good deals for local sights.

Small but informative museum about history of Coronado. People at desk are very knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions about what to do. Also lots of brochures, maps, etc. and a small gift shop.

This place is a very cool start to visit Coronado. It had displays from the history of the Island. I also really liked the exhibit dedicated to Admiral Stockdale. I didn't check it out, but you could also pick up tour brochures and book some tours. No charge to see museum and certainly a nice 30 minutes to get acquainted... More

We really just stopped in for maps, but the desk was very helpful and informative. It looked like there were a lot of great things available for visitors, as well.

There are some beautiful grounds here. We made a point to stop here while checking out Coronado Island. It is worthwhile to check out and see some history.
