I highly recommend this artistic stop, while you are in the area. It reminds you of the disparate elements that make California one unique place. Take time to savor each bit of this installation, and hopefully you are there when it's quiet enough to here the water, trace the river, and sit in the redwoods.

I was looking for some hiking opportunities near my hotel during my visit in Southern California. The Wildlife walk around was perfection. I went over to explore three separate times and found it charming! It has dirt trails and pavement that take you over and around, up and down with bridges and indigenous foliage all around.

The garden is truly wonderful. It is peaceful, spacious, and well laid out. It is a simple garden, meant for contemplation. It is not one that offers up distractions, such as flowers. However, the bordering buildings have a (rightfully so) diligent security staff who will come out and talk to you regarding your photography seems suspicious. They are not the... More

California Scenario was commissioned by Henry Segerstrom, the visionary farmer who dreamed up South Coast Plaza. He was a lover of Asian art and asked the artist and designer Isamu Noguchi to create a Zen space beside two office buildings that he'd built near South Coast Plaza. This is the result. Come here in the late afternoon to appreciate the... More

We loved this work of art in Costa Mesa. It is a must see. We had a hard time finding it and had to ask a bicycle police officer for directions. It was well worth the walk from the mall where we parked. Such a beautiful oasis in the center of an office Park.

This is a very special place to visit. It is a tranquil and sophisticated outdoor sculpture garden by the renowned Isamu Noguchi. It is just a few steps from the South Coast Plaza mall yet it is tucked away from crowds. And it is one of the few free attractions in the area.

A surprising little park/art installation in the middle of a busy commercial hub. Great place to spend a quiet lunch or meet a friend and catch-up.

I am thrilled that this is "still there" - I used to see it daily during a bank visit for work. What I'll admit here is that I can't be completely objective, because I'm not judging it against other art, but, rather, for the dreamlike feeling of the form itself. It's a great example of what you may think of... More

This is ... a work of art that one walks through. It has elements of sculpture, landscaping, a water path, and more. It is surrounded by mirrored buildings, which add to the artiness. It's small, so don't budget a lot of time here. But it is worth seeking out, as it's quite pretty. Someone else wrote "... very Zen-like." I... More

This was a wonderful surprise. I wouldn't drive far to come see it though, we were nearby so it was convenient. It's hidden between office buildings. It's nice to have this if you work around it. Very zen like.
