We did a private tour and he was very knowledgeable and pleasant making for great visit. Not easy to get to if you are a tourist. We came for the art but left impressed by entire visit. In summer can arrive by ferry boat

Skokloster castle is an amazing castle with some outstanding pieces of decorations and furniture. Good lunch and an excellent stone brick church next door. Second oldest stone brick church in Sweden.

This amazing castle at Mälaren is the largest private palace built in Sweden and a truly unique building.The architecture, the intact interiors and the exquisite objects make the castle one of Europe's premier baroque castle.An excellent cafe is adjacent to the castle.

Hi, you should rent a car it s about 30 min from sigtuna to the castle. Agree the boat schedule is too short..
