The ruins of the Philadelphia church ( one of the 7 churches mentioned in Revelations) are stark and bewildering as to how such structure could have been built. Good informative details of building history are provided. Easy to view. No entry cost to site.

These ruins were included on our tour of the seven churches of Revelation. Most of ancient Philadelphia is several feet under the current city of Alasehir. The ruins here are of an ancient Byzantine Church built much later.
