the staff is very helpfull and friendly for a getaway if at the tent area is nice, clean showers and restroom kept clean also.kid friendly. there is fishing close to town if you need to pick up extra supplys

The lake is small and nothing was biting. A couple of other fishermen fished for several hours too and didn't catch anything. There were many hornets everywhere, my daughter was stung by one. The positive is that the ranger station had a lot of bait...More

I grew up fishing Dixon lake and now take my kids when I can. Excellent clean campgrounds and excellent fishing.

My family stopped here for a few hours to stretch their legs on the way to San Diego. The park is not horrible but I am guessing the bathrooms, trails, shelters, etc were installed in the 1960's and they are badly in need of replacement/refurbishment....More

Reasonable fees, around $3-$5, yes to the easy hiking as well. Beautiful, scenic lake, worth the trip!
