This beaux arts (?) building houses a museum that is smaller than musuems from SF or Portland, or LA but it remains relevant with changing venues and community outreach. In the basement, downstairs the area emphasizes the famous Morris Graves painter who spent time in...More

Three galleries offer changing exhibits mainly by local artists or local scenes. The museum store offers many art pieces for sale. The building is the former county library funded by Andrew Carnegie about a century ago and lovingly restored by dedicated local craftsmen whose efforts...More

First Saturdays, community events, beautiful building: the art is beautiful but the museum strives to be more. The family art mornings are wonderful for small folk. The gift shop downstairs always has fun stuff. And the work of Morris Graves is enigmatic and highly skilled.

A small museum in a well-maintained historical building with unique architecture makes this a highly worthwhile stop. The gallery spaces are small but well-used with three exhibitions of interesting work.
