Nice Architecture
Jul 2018 • Friends
The building sits on a hill in a beautiful park but we could't get in. It was a nice drive by to see the building and grounds.

Great events year round. Super car show in May!
Feb 2018 • Friends
There is such a variety of events at the Muckenthaler throughout the year. I love the 2 day car show in May-some true pieces of art. The Gallery show openings are fun. You really need to check out their calendar to appreciate all the different things they bring to the Muck - the music, dance, jazz. And I hear there will be plays again on the outdoor stage! The gift shop has some wonderful items for sale.

Stunning Watercolors and other media: watercolor-gone-wild

Limited run February to April so have a look. Show’s works are weighted toward abstract expressionism if that’s the proper term. Edgy is another descriptor. Go visit to challenge your notion of what paintings can look like.

Went to the center with relative who lives nearby and he’d heard of place as wedding venue but never been. This historic home has expansive grounds and a theater so there are ongoing programs throughout the year. Vintage car shows, theater, ceramics, follow up talks by artists to name a few.

Excellent family attraction for music, food & activites
Nov 2017 • Family
You can find many family events throughout the year. We participated in the Dia de los Muertos event. We are looking forward to the Winter Solstice event. Excellent live music and tasty food vendors. Art gallery featured work of talented high school students. The grounds are scenic and historic. Great place for weddings and community gatherings.

Extraordinary
Aug 2017 • Family
What greater than to experience a part of history and culture. I can't believe this used to be a home before, it's so large, and so many rooms. We saw a weekday music performance here. Local performance, and to experience a cultural building is definitely a must for Fullerton.

Beautiful Locale for an Outdoor Wedding
Aug 2017 • Couples
This is a stunning property and were fortunate to explore the grounds in its glory during a recent wedding celebration. The staff did great job and the service and venue was gorgeous. Cocktails were in the house while the outdoor reception got started. We had an opportunity at this time to look at the art, which was all quite interesting. Such a lovely place to celebrate the beginning of a wonderful couple's Happily Ever After.

Fun to explore, a piece of Fullerton history
Feb 2017 • Solo
Several events, performances and galleries are available here throughout the year. I went to just walk around the house itself, which is a quick walkthrough but pretty interesting. It is free to walk around - there isn't that much to look at but I still enjoyed it. To the right of the entrance to the building there is a tiny "museum" featuring some memorabilia of the Muckenthaler family. There are some old photos on display in the hallways as well. The restroom is very clean and quite lovely. The signs in front always mention performances coming up or happening at a certain price. I haven't visited those but if you want to just sit and relax, the house is situated atop a hill that is very open and has a few picnic tables on the outskirts. There is also an outdoor theater with built in seating that you can sit at ... there is a free parking lot that first faces a little art shop (I haven't gone inside but seems like they offer classes). There are efforts to restore the space and continually upkeep.

A lot of fun music programs and events.
Aug 2016 • Friends
I go to the Muckenthaler quite a bit, especially for the special music events that are sponsored, which many of them are free. Their community amphitheater is really nice, there are even small tables so that you can bring your own food, and in many cases by food at the venue. When food is available it is always from local vendors, often with some of the proceeds from sales going to local charities. I highly recommend that you check it out.

Food arts and crafts, and Music
Jun 2016 • Friends
We went to a fair that was held on the grounds. They offered arts and crafts for sale, local produce, honey and BBQ meals. It was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. The outdoor amphitheater had music of different genre and was very enjoyable listening.
