- DJLJShelby Township, Michigan50 contributionsGreat afternoon at Coppola WineryI love Coppola wines and our visit to this winery was a special treat! We thoroughly enjoyed everything, from the delicious tasting of multiple types of wine, to the gracious way we were treated, to the delicious lunch we had, to viewing the film memorabilia on site, all while being surrounded by gorgeous scenery! We felt like royalty here and I would recommend the tasting and lunch experience to anyone looking for a relaxing outing. Great prices on wine and shipping, too!Visited September 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 4 October 2023
- varneykrHancock, New Hampshire699 contributionsHighly recommend. Best winery of our trip! This was by far the best stop on our wine tour. Highly recommend. The facility is part winery and part movie museum. Really fun to look at all the memorabilia. We had a private tasting at a bocci court. So much fun!Visited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 4 January 2024
- Roam678488801076 contributionsIncredible Place!!Incredible experience!! Wines are fantastic but the movie props, (Godfather, Apocalypse now, erc...)automobile and the servers make this one of the best wineries we've been to anywhere in the country!! Plan on at least 2 hours to absorb this place!!Visited April 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 29 April 2024
- KatiLuHershey, Pennsylvania121 contributionsNot what I was expectingWe had a nice lunch at Rustic. Food was good but service was a bit rushed and it got crowded fast around 12noon. Plenty of choices but most are very heavy/full meals. Lots of wines to choose from. Some memorabilia from his fils, but I really felt it was pushing his daughter’s content. Ability to rent a cabana and chairs by the pool $275 for 4 people 1100-1700. Next time I will consider that. The pool was lovely.Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 21 June 2024
- KansasReviewer262 contributionsNice Place To VisitThe Francis Ford Coppola Winery is a nice place to visit. There are a lot of movie memorabilia from Coppola's movies as well as his daughter Sofia. The atmosphere is really enjoyable and there is also a restaurant. We took the tour which is very affordable however very short. Our guide was David who is very knowledgeable and friendly and did a fantastic job. There is a pool in which you can reserve spots on a daily basis. This is a must see if you are in the area.Visited August 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 30 August 2024
- Alexanicecuppa63 contributionsGreat place to visit if you are in the areaGreat stop to make 75 miles north of San fransisco. Loads of memorabilia from some of his best movies. The staff were really helpful. You don't have to spend money here but there are some delicious tasting plans. Beautiful layout of the area around the pool and outside bar. We did not dine here but it looked deliciousVisited September 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 16 September 2024
- Linda S178 contributionsMovie magic and great winesBreathtaking winery! Just being there makes you feel elegant. A long stone staircase invites you to a world of luxury. There are plants and flowers everywhere. You are able to wander the property. There is movie memorabilia in the winery although less than what I had been led to believe in reading reviews. Having seen the Coppola movies it was interesting to me to view the list of awards and to see the awards themselves including the Oscars! I’m sure there were things we missed as items were snuck into corners etc. The wines were very good although we had to stand at the bar to be served. The experience was a little more rushed than at other wineries we had been at. Our wine guide was friendly, knowledgeable and seemed to enjoy himself. The winery was easy to get. Plenty of parking. The restrooms were clean and inviting. I would recommend because of the uniqueness.Visited September 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 19 September 2024

We were told the hour tasting was a more upgraded tasting than the 1/2 hour tasting. It was anything but that. It just took longer every 15 to 20 minutes he would show up and pure a little wine and sometimes told a little about it some times not. For $40.00 per person it was a complete waste of time and money. I would never recommend this tasting to anyone.

Why go to a winery to do tastings if they won't let you taste? The website lists two different tasting experiences, one on the terrace for $40 and one at the bar for $25.
What they don't specifically tell you is that the wines they make available to taste at each location are different AND that you cannot try ANY other wines produced by the winery if not on either of those two tasting menus. The bar tasting only serves the widely distributed wines you can find at most grocery stores. The terrace tasting additionally includes some wines that are exclusive to the winery. If you want to try a wine not on either tasting menu, tough luck. You need to buy a bottle and hope you like it.
When we came five years ago, this was not the case. Not anticipating the change or having it explained ruined our experience. We are very familiar with the Coppola wines we can buy at our home grocery store. From our previous visit, we knew we wanted to taste the winery exclusive wine. We hoped to do the same this trip and carry them home. The bar server refused to allow us to taste those wines or any others we had an interest in paying for. We couldn't change to the terrace because reservations were needed, but it is our understanding we would not have been able to taste several wines out there either. We were out of luck and completely disappointed.
To add to the negative experience, we stepped outside to enjoy the view of the pool. It was late in October so it was chilly and no one was using the pool. One member of our party temporarily sat on a chaise lounge to rest her bad knee while others were taking pictures and was immediately reprimanded about needing to pay for use. Really?????? No one is there and a person couldn't rest for 2 seconds? Other reviewers have said the same thing about the rudeness of staff around the pool. There is simply no need.
This was our favorite winery when we visited 5 years ago. Not anymore. They have made changes that are ridiculous and now have rude staff.

This was the MOST disappointing thing we did during our trip.
It was impressive at a time but now a little too commercialized. There were people walking everywhere.
We sat in the bar/pool area. I ordered a bottle of wine and a pizza. We saw our sever three times ( get order, bring wine and bring check). I understand there is a shortage of workers. If your understaffed don't over seat the server. We were there 2hrs. Yes, it was great sitting outside until people start doing what they want when they want. Disturbing others. There was no management anywhere to be seen. There was no one sitting the outside tables. It was a free for all.
The inside "museum" is now overrun with trinkets and wine for sale.
I can honestly say I was embarrassed to bring my friends there.

We spent $550 for Bocce Ball and a little tiny tasting of four wines. Some of us didn’t even get to try two wines because they ran out. Didn’t even open new bottles for us, wine was served in carafes! Too many rules, they wouldn’t let us order additional bottles and pay for it while we finished our game! Ron was great, the experience was not! Save your money, we are so disappointed!

We did the wine tasting upstairs. It was the first flight and it was delicious. We are looking forward to receiving our shipment when we arrive home. I'd recommend ordering the cheese board, delicious cheeses that pair beautifully with their wine.

While doing research on place to visit while in Napa and I came across Coppola's Winery, and knew we definitely wanted to visit here! Upon arriving, we were blown away by the beauty of this place and the grounds. We were able to roam around the property. The library/museum was very cool to see with all the movie memorabilia from "The Godfather", "Apocalypse Now", and "Bram Stoker's Dracula". You should experience this winery even if you don’t drink wine.

For me the strengths of this place are the scenery/grounds and the Coppola movie memorabilia. The wines were okay, but the biggest issue for me was the sense throughout my wine tasting that I was "on the clock" and they were ready for to move on to the next customer. The beautiful grounds deserve a stroll after the wine tasting. Movie memorabilia was great, but it is mixed in with so many products for sale that it's tough to enjoy some of it. This winery has a pool, restaurant, and so on so it may be worth considering for a long afternoon (?). I wouldn't go back for the wine tasting though, and definitely would not go if I was not in the area.

Our next wine tasting was a 1.5 hours drive to Geyserville from Napa to the Francis Ford Coppola Winery. It was a gorgeous estate which included a 1948 Tucker in mint condition as the centerpiece in the entrance. Along side it was a spiral staircase to another level of wine and kitchen, and food items. The movie memorabilia from "The Godfather", "Acopalypse Now", and "Bram Stoker's Dracula" were amazing. To see the movie scripts, a note from Marlon Brando, the original desk used in The Godfather, and the costumes. Not to mention all the Oscar awards and recognition. It was truly amazing. We found our way to the Reserved Tasting bar and was introduced to the Francis Ford Coppola wines. We thoroughly enjoyed these wines and guess what? Yep, we became Family Members of the Coppola Wine Club. "They made us an offer we couldn't refuse!" =)

We have been wine club members for years and this was our first visit back after covid closures. The manager, Dre, was OUTSTANDING. What a great customer service professional, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. He and our server, Christa, helped to make a perfect family evening. We enjoyed our steaks, pizza, salad, grilled veggies, appetizers, champagne, coffee, desserts and purchases to go of pizza, 10 boxes of sparkling and wine, as well as a fleece vest one of our twins 'had' to have!
Thank you!

Do you pay for general admission? If with kids and they do not do wine tasting for example?
Written 3 December 2022
No, there is no general admission. You pay at the bar for your tasting. My husband and older son went to the bar while my younger son (underage) and I walked around checking out the exhibits. We didn’t drink so we didn’t pay anything.

We have a toy poodle with a very happy and friendly disposition. He will sit on our laps and is very quiet and well behaved. We bring him for a family member to help with anxiety. We would like to bring him with us to your winery. However, I do not see any pet restrictions on your website. Do you allow dogs on your property?

Hi, looking at visiting during our honeymoon next year, is there accommodation onsite or nearby? Thanks Claire
Written 13 December 2019
We stayed in a hotel about 20 min away & had a rental car which was good as it allowed us to explore the area. There are many options as well for transportation, there is Uber or you can book wine tours where some places might offer options for trolley.

Four of us plan to spend a day at the pool with a cabine in late September. Can anyone recommend which area of the pool would be best for sun, access to the cabines, rest rooms? Are the lounges up by the cabines "too busy" or great because of proximity of the cabine? Any comments would be welcome. Thanks.
Written 4 September 2019
I'm not sure about the sun with those cabines by the lounges. I just went and I recommend 24,25,26,27. Do not get the ones on the opposite end of the cabines. The ones closest to the stage. Those have a ton of sun exposure. And probably furthest from cabine and bathrooms.

A reserva não é feita on line. É feita por telefone. No site da vinícola tem um número de telefone. Mas se houverem vagas pode ser feita no mesmo dia.

The winery website says there is a complimentary wine tasting at the main floor tasting bar, but other reviews on TripAdvisor state it is a paid tasting. Could you clarify which, if any, tastings are complimentary and if a reservation is required to do a tasting?
Written 29 January 2018
There are multiple levels of paid wine tasting. Perhaps there is a time of day they are letting you taste a wine , I don't know. We toured the winery and paid for a tasting. I suppose you could just call and ask?
