At Benziger, we're about three things: family, great wine and healthy vineyards. For more than thirty years, we've farmed our ranch on Sonoma Mountain and searched Sonoma County for the most distinctive and expressive vineyards. Once found, we tend these sites using certified Biodynamic, organic and sustainable farming methods. The result is a portfolio of authentic and memorable wines. Our Partners Wine Tour will satisfy the palate of any wine enthusiast. This tour provides a behind-the-scenes look at our Biodynamic estate vineyard and wine caves and finishes with an exclusive wine tasting of estate wines.

This place was a bit too busy for my liking. Too many people crammed into the place. Felt more like a college bar atmosphere, but with wine. The wines were too bold overall for my taste. The prices were a little higher on average than other places we visited as well. Overall we would skip this place next time.

We were the last tour of the day, so had the privilege of a private tour. We learned about biodynamic wine making and appreciate the family insight we were given into the creation of a very unique and carefully constructed wine product. Our tour was great. It would be especially nice to visit during production but I don't feel particularly... More

Being a large scale organic farmer give me a unique perspective into this very well run biodynamic vineyard and wine making operation. Its a shame no other winery operations in the Napa Valley will likely be approved for terracing their vineyards which makes the gravity feeding of run off irrigation into their holding pond a -0- energy proposition. The only... More

My wife and I visited on MLK day, so it was a slow day. We were the only people in the 11:30 tram tour. The tour guide did a great job showing us around the vineyard and the cave. The wine tasting part went well. They don't sell you club membership or even mention it, which I think is the... More

As much as I wanted to love our visit to Benziger, especially because I fully support their biodynamic wine production method, the experience itself just wasn’t very good. Yes the grounds are nice but the trolley tour is really just a 5 minute drive across their property with stops in the middle to explain how they produce their wines. Then... More

A must in Glen Ellen! The setting up above the village near Jack London State Park is remarkable. I recommend the tram tour which includes the tasting for good value. Family friendly. Courteous staff . Priced high end for many wines. No true value wine deals offered given the quality. Upscale tasting room layout among the trellis- vine hills. Good... More

A beautiful place with commitment to natural and organic production. The tour was very interesting especially the wine cave (which was an amazing place) We were there when they were not producing but have to imagine how busy it is when the are creating great wines. The tasting was informative and interesting. We found the wines quite good. Took advantage... More

Edie at Benziger helped my put together a dinner in their wine cave for 95 people. The comments I received was WOW. The cave was perfect for my group size. With the help of Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn's catering department our family style dinner for 95 was a success. I looked at a lot of wine caves but non of... More

The tasting room and atmosphere left me cold I am sorry to say. I wanted so much to like this place. I had tasted wines at their other winery, Imagery and loved them but this place seemed distant to me. Perhaps the wines were good but it was so off putting that we left and did not taste.
