Great views of the Hayward Salt Marsh wetlands with excellent area interpretive displays inside. Guided school tours are excellent!

Had a great hike. Saw a lot of lovely birds. Brought a spotting scope . Played in the mud a bit & brought my microscope. Overall great time.

We used this Center for a class birthday party. Everyone had a wonderful time as the naturalists engaged one and all!

We went to Hayward Shoreline Interpretive Center. Its a small visitor center. There is scenic views. Its also a good place to see birds. Staff is knowledgeable.

A small shelter and boardwalks overlook the shore of the San Francisco Bay. Shore birds aplenty wade in the wetlands which have been cleaned up from the polluted zone which once lined the Bay. Displays are minimal.

This is an outstanding place to visit, with friendly, knowledgeable staff, parking, and access to trails among the marshes and along San Francisco Bay. Call ahead to coordinate your visit with shark-feeding time or other ranger-led activities.
