The Hawkes Family has been growing grapes in the Alexander Valley for forty years. Today, the Hawkes family farms over eighty-five acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay vineyards in the southern half of Alexander Valley, all planted on sparsely-soiled hillsides, all yielding small amounts of intense fruit. In bottling small lots of Hawkes Wine, we aim to translate our extraordinary standards for the quality of our grapes into extraordinary wine, estate grown and produced in Alexander Valley, Sonoma County. You'll know if you've had our wines. We're here drinking wine every day, come join us!

Delicious cabs with a super friendly tasting room. We sat at a picnic table out front and enjoyed the beautiful weather and great wine. Everyone made us feel super welcome and relaxed. Recommend this for anyone into cabernets. Not touristy - all about the wine.

This is not inexpensive Cabernet -- but I think its some of the best in Napa/Sonoma. Alexander Valley has its own character but I like that these wines reminded me a lot of French Bordeaux, good structure, good acid/fruit/tannins. Tannins not to bitter. I joined...More

If weather permits, absolutely go for the vineyard tasting. Incredible experience and beautiful views. Adam was fun and knowledgeable and made it an experience to remember. The single vineyard cabs are truly incredible, and we really enjoy the chardonnay as well.

Off the beaten path but worth the trip. I’m in the irrigation business and this winery was recommended to me by one of my customers. Their family has been growing grapes there for 50 years and they started making wine about 15 years ago, and...More

I thought the wines were okay, but I probably wouldn't go back again with so many other wineries. If you go to JImtown Store, they are next door. For dog lovers, they have a dog who is friendly.
