I haven't played at Franklin Canyon for about 15 years. Staff is friendly and the course was in great shape. Tee boxes were well maintained, greens were in good shape (punched about two weeks ago), and the fairways were green and well maintained. Played on a Monday and finished in 4 1/2 hours. Played with a group of freinds, varied skill from novice to scratch golfer. Everyone was able to enjoy the course and have a great time. Very nice greens, fairways were wide and forgiving. friendly staff and great sandwich at the turn.

The course is in better shape than most others in the area. I found the greens to be in excellent shape. For the value it's one of the better courses in the bay area.

very slow pace of play at this site with no obvious marshalling to try to speed up play. A recent friday round was 5 1/2 hours. The numerour ravines and some sand combined with maybe a less skilled clientel (?) makes for slow play. Suggest an early weekday round might not eat up over half the day and the course... More
