Sunset Beach is a small coastal town, typical of the old days of OC. Small restaurants, beachside homes with rentals, and boating are all found here.

There is a great beach that never gets very crowded, even in the summer. If you go just south of the Santa Ana River on PCH (which devices Huntington Beach and Newport Beach) you will find a stretch of beach that is generally not crowded....More

Rent a bike and go! Well maintained flat path. I went all the way to Newport Beach without issues. Just don't rent bikes from "Surfboard and Bike Rentals" on 5th. They are horrible

beautiful coastline, immense white beaches, free, and where you can practice surfing, volleyball, etc. etc. very trendy, local, shops nice atmosphere

Driving along PCH is a treat for everyone. Beautiful beaches along with glimpses of Catalina keeps the smile on your face. Take a minute to stop by an walk the Pier for a better view of the surfers and beach bunnies.
