Make sure you tip them by the way. Like your favorite waitress, these Guides have influence over your trip. I have... More

Great campsites, next to water/river, hospitable camp hostess, clean restrooms with warm water. No bear boxes. The mountain biking shuttle they provide for an additional charge was great! If you ride or raft John and the gang will take excellent care of you and your friends or family.

Great campground, right on the river, hot showers, sandy campsites with BBQ grated fire rings. Only a couple of miles from town, lots more trees than other campgrounds.

My family and I have rafted the kern on numerous occasions, and we have always used Mountain and River Adventures. The guides are experienced and fun and always have a little surprise for you during your adventure.

My 8 year old took a rafting trip down the river with other girls her age. They LOVED it. They taught them safety and what to do if they fell out of the boat. Their boat guide was friendly and entertaining.

We did the 1 hour raft ride. I like that they explain safety thoroughly. The guides and staff behind the counters were all really nice.

Our group of 6 did the 2 day lower Kern rafting trip. It was amazing!!!! Very organized outfit! They split our group up onto 2 rafts which we loved for several reasons. We got to watch each others faces as we tackled the class IV rapids, and it also allowed for each boat to become the others rescue boat in... More

There was disorganization with booking and check-in process but MRA was able to reconcile their errors at arrival. We booked the full day rafting tour on the Upper Kern which consisted of a small starter run by the power plant followed by 3 trips on an upper run with a few sections of class 4 rapids. Our guide, Amelia, was... More

Had fun on the Rapid Blitz with 8 year old twins along on their first trip. I would recommend this as a family experience for anyone. We felt safe and had a great time.
