It's really worth to visit here. You can rent bike from Karuizawa station to here. It's around 25 mins. 來輕井澤必遊的景點,景色非常優美,湖區不大,可以在這邊走走。自由行遊客可以從輕井澤站附近租腳踏車前往,約25分鐘就可以抵達

I did not expect that Karuizawa would become one of my favourite places in Japan. A mountain resort town only an hour from Tokyo by Shinkansen, Karuizawa draws visitors year round with its incredible natural scenery. A must-go spot, Kumoba Pond is a tranquil pond in the west of Karuizawa set amidst a larch forest. I was blessed that the... More

Kumobaike is a dollop of beautiful tranquility in a rather well trafficked part of Karuizawa. It's right off a rather large street, which does make it easy to get to. That said, these are nits. The pond itself is ethereal, and the low growing trees and bushes, which are mirrored on the face of the pond itself, creates gorgeous reflections... More

Kumoaike was created dammed a small river with a spring water as a source. It is nice to see in early November.

Arrived in Karuizawa and the weather was quite gloomy. With some luck, we had pockets of sunshine and decided to drop by the pond. Made the right choice as the scenery was gorgeous. Walk around the pond took around 20mins, was enjoyable despite the crowd. Note, the carpark fee has been increased to 900 yen per car per entry

The lake is about 20min walk from the train station. If you are pressed for time, just give it a pass. It gets crowded after 10am (during autumn) so do go early to avoid the crowd.

Title suggest it's a gorgeous lake.. water is serene and quiet. Autumn is a great time to enjoy it but be prepared to walk if you're getting off from the station . It's a fair bit of walk . Alternatively you could rent a bike ...

I don't know why TripAdvisor rated this pond as the second attraction in this area. It is quiet and peaceful but not that much outstanding because there are plenty of such ponds all over Japan. I walked further into this pond and found a few mansions around but mostly were empty, I noticed it because those mansions had their windows... More
