Although it is small the Aquarium exposes a variety of fishes, seahorses and alike with explanation kids can really unerstand. The hands on area is not comparable to other big aquariums but the kids can have some fun touching some animals. The explanation on the global warming is really easy for kids and touches their senses onse they can really... More

This is a moderately small aquarium, but it isn't too expensive and it is designed to educate. We thought that it did exactly what it was supposed to do.

This is a gem. Really. I've been to big city aquariums that are bigger and have bigger fish. But this one, as Goldilocks famously said, is just the right size, especially for small kids. There are plenty of tanks to see, a big central tank with the requisite impressive species, and numerous hands-on features to entertain. And the view of... More

We went here on a rainy day and found it to be fulfilling. Small aquarium for the price but the staff were friendly and helpful. The outdoor touching pool was neat. Kids were able to touch a sea cucumber, sea anemone and even a sea urchin! The sea dragons were super cool, Had never seen any before. It was cool... More

Great place to visit and get a quick bite to eat at their outside restaurant. We always have to ride bikes and teeter totter to keep in shape. They always seem to have a new exhibit plus the hands on makes for some funny moments and plenty of picture ops throughout.

I was pleasantly surprised by this aquarium. It has a great variety of animals and the tanks are beautiful. They have a giant octopus which was great to see, and lots of native wildlife. The hands on interactive tank is great for kids - really impressive star fish!

This is divided into several areas. One is for a pure aquarium to see various sea life. The other is more of an educational area to see things like CO2 and global warming problems, tons of Sea Horses in their environment. There are outdoor area to see the baby and "touch and feel" pools. There is also a café and... More

This sweet little aquarium has some of the cleanest, well kept displays I have seen in a long time. Beautiful corals and anemones, and the seahorse, seadragon, and jelly displays are amazing. Not overly expensive either. Have some great discovery areas for kids. Will keep you entertained for a couple of hours.

We had three generations together on our visit to the Birch Aquarium and everyone enjoyed their visit. The Aquarium does a nice job of explaining characteristics of the local sea life while still showing a nice variety of wildlife. The main aquarium displays were very good, but the shark display and the touch tanks were a let-down after seeing everything... More
