Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We go to the Ark Antiques on every visit to San Diego. It's a donation supported shop that benefits animal causes. Some of the best jewelry and art. Merchandise turns frequently. You never know what will be there. If you like antiques, must see.

We were looking for a consignment shop and happened across Ark. Proceeds benefit a local animal non-profit organization. The items on display were incredible...jewelry, fine china, oriental art, statuary, furniture...impeccably clean and organized. Two beautiful parrots keep the non-shoppers amused while others browse.

At last count, this nonprofit organization has helped over 60 different animal charities.
A win-win, because the store's inventory is fabulous.
You can purchase something wonderful and help animal causes at the same time.
Don't miss the Chinese section -- porcelain, snuff bottles, jade, bronze, lacquer ware, wood carvings, cloisonne, etc.
The silver serving pieces are magnificent.
They also have a case full of stunning Native American jewelry.
Understand that these are donated and consigned pieces and the selection changes, but The Ark Antiques is always worth a visit.

Jewerly, fine art, furniture, silver, and other items!

I was looking for something to do before my Segway tour and found this antique shop. It is really a thrift shop/consignment shop of high quality household items. The beneficiary of the "profits" is an animal shelter. The staff (all volunteers?) were very friendly and helpful. China, crystal and silver were often displayed on beautiful tables. Lots of beautiful things to buy. I thought the prices were fair…not cheap, but not too expensive.

By accident, I went into the shop, spent half day there, enjoying checking around variety of staff the carry. Each piece is unique. ARK Antique is definitely a place for people hunting unique staff.

If you love Animal Charities and Fine Asian Artifacts, Collectibles China, Antiques, Estate Jewelry and Expensive Furniture you won't be disappointed at The Arks meticulous selection of treasures. Plus you can feel good about the philanthropic contributions they make because of your impulse purchase of that bit-chin Vintage Bracelet and pair of Fu Dogs.

This place not only has such a varied selection of wares (Asian, contemporary, collectible, Victorian, eclectic) but the prices are really reasonable - and several items are marked down. Lots of furniture, figurines, dinnerware, cutlery, glassware, jewelry, etc. You could spend over an hour just looking around. Many unique items and all high quality. We ended up buying some glassware and jewelry and nice to this non-profit donates to dozens of animal welfare causes.
