Simic no longer

I guess Mr Simic lost his butt several years ago in Carmel Ca. He had beautiful pieces of Art, hell I spent over 100k with the gallery. How unfortunate. It’s gone! Kinda makes me mad, but it is what it is. My X has the good pieces and I have several that I will be selling. All European Artist. I just don’t really want memories of my X, so the Art has to go. I did enjoy the Gallery with Judith & Russel. It probably was a sale with them, but it actually meant something to the both of us.

Visit when in La Jolla!
Jun 2015
Review is for all art galleries in La Jolla. When visiting, do make sure you have about 15 - 20 mins per art gallery. They carry such eclectic pieces and a variety of art! It's a part of La Jolla culture immersion. Do visit here!

Fun to see

I believe this is where we saw some Dr. Seuss pieces, as you do in some other California beach attractions. There were some fun unique pieces, including some riddles/puns to figure out. Beautiful work, and fun to see. A bit sales pitchy at one point, but short lived.

Suggest visiting Legends Gallery on Prospect street where artists like Joelle Blouin and Martin Beaupre and Dr. Seuss exhibit their work. Roree, owner and Director treats you well.

Long Time Client
Simic Galleries is a very upscale gallery with a friendly atmosphere. Of course, art is subjective, so if you are drawn to the classics you should enjoy Simic. If you like modern art, abstract, funky, or cute art, this is not the place for you. The La Jolla gallery is one of several galleries. There are galleries in Carmel, and possibly still one on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. You may be greeted differently depending on the sales representative you encounter. Some can't help but be a little snooty, but overall the staff at Simic is very friendly. The prices are reasonable. It is possible to find smaller pieces for a couple thousand, give or take, while large pieces will run in the tens of thousands. So, there is a wide range to choose from. I've been a member of Simic Galleries for over 20 years and it has allowed me to participate in many events, such as champagne exhibits, auctions, and holiday gatherings with celebrity artists as well as the regular artists represented by Simic. Mario Simic and his family are very warm and welcoming whether it's your first visit or your 100th. Enjoy.
