We had an amazing tour! It was our first time in San Diego and Emma’s knowledge/fantastic sense of humor made us feel super comfortable and excited to embark on this journey together. We had so much fun and greatly appreciated all the effort that went into making this an unforgettable experience for all.

Wonderful experience - Grant and Connor were fun guides who were full of interesting information and did a great job of taking care of our group, which had various levels of kayakers. Easy quick walk from the shop to the beach, and within minutes we were in the water. Awesome experience - saw dolphins and seal lions and explored the caves. We went at 5:20 and was a perfect time to hit the water.

We booked this as something to do as a family with teens. At first the conditions seemed great, but the water temp was probably close to 60 and the water near the caves was quite choppy, which made the snorkeling part very difficult. The “guides” are just really leading the entire group (about 15 people) to the cave area. Our guides weren’t really engaged with the group and seemed more interested in taking pictures for themselves. I would recommend just renting the kayaks and going out to the caves on your own. You can see all the kayak tour groups out on the water so it’s not that hard to find. To make matters worse, my wife was thrown against the cave rock and really scraped up her hip and leg.

Sarah was my kayak guide and wow. Her bubbly, personable attitude, extensive knowledge of the environment and history of La Jolla, and attentiveness really made my kayaking experience one to remember. I left the tour bubbling over with happiness and new knowledge. I am actually from San Diego County and still found this tour completely worthwhile as I learned some wonderful new things about the place in which I exist. The kayaking was not difficult, Sarah allows you to go at your own pace. Individuals of all ages and physical abilities can participate. There are single and double kayaks. Family-friendly and a perfect date idea for couples. Not a crazy experience but it did leave me feeling adventurous and excited.
