Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

5/5 for David and his team who provided 5 pals with a superb and memorable experience.
We arrived late on Friday and were given a tour of the facility. We had a BBQ in the fire hut and then a few beers around the camp fire (which even us city dwellers with no outdoors skills could light).
Saturday was activities day; we did clay pigeon shooting in the morning and quad bike trekking in the afternoon. Both were excellent fun and very well supervised. In the evening we headed into Leominster (pronounced Lemster) and had a curry in Jalalabad (again would recommend). The town seemed to have a good range of pubs.
The camp is set within beautiful woods and countryside. The huts are warm and comfortable providing a good night sleep; and the shower is better than mine at home. In the run up to the event David, Louise, Anika answered all my questions promptly and were incredibly helpful and accommodating.
The whole shebang is very well run, safe and secure but laid back. You'll come back relaxed, refreshed and re-wilded.

The smiles, mud, paint splats with the constant nattering of the boys recalling this event speaks great volumes. Cautious at first and wanting all the boys and their parents to be more than comfortable doing this event in these strange times. Oakerwood where we had been last year for quad biking, again delivered all the boys and mine expectations.Great briefing , introductions and interaction from Mike and Sam at Oakerwood made all feel safe and excited undertaking this paintfest. Great locations with the undergrowth, land rovers and helicopter all added to this great experience. Great physical and mental health tonic in these COVID times so DO IT and you will enjoy . Thanks to all at Oakerwood

A grabbed opportunity to celebrate a birthday which normally gets swallowed by Christmas festivities - and before a possible January lockdown. My son and just four friends had a blast on the quad bikes amidst the beautiful setting that is Oakerwood. The staff managed to explain all the safety considerations for the bikes, and all the Covid- compliant hygiene measures with a fantastic mix of humour and seriousness!
With the great outdoors, helmets and head-sock things (!) there was little to be worried about. Will definitely be going again in 2021 to try a different activity.

This was a much deferred birthday present for our two granddaughters (aged 13 and 11) due to the pandemic but was worth the wait. We had a beautiful sunny autumn day, following on from wettishnweather, so the track was suitably muddy! Everything was very well organised and felt very safe from a virus point of view. Chris and Carrie looked after us brilliantly and couldn't have been nicer. Chris was fantastic at reassuring our youngest when she had a couple of bumps on the practice track and quickly rebuilt her confidence. The time went by all too quickly and was enjoyed by us all. It was a first for me, a 73 year-old grandma, and it was an experience I'm so glad to have had.

We had a paint balling event for a group of 10 blokes booked for a Saturday morning and were greeted by main host Phoebe, assisted by Charlie.
Phoebe basically took control, stood no nonsense from us and ran through the safety briefings and rules in a very clear way.
We had four games across three terrains, all of which were very well constructed and realistic and led to some highly competitive, enjoyable and hilarious fun.
This was a great Saturday morning's entertainment, made for us by Phoebe who joined in the constant banter and encouraged the competitiveness to ensure we had a fantastic experience.

I had a birthday party for friends to do paintballing at Oakerwood and we loved every second of it. It is really well organised, you can tell they’ve been doing it for years. There’s short quick games and some slightly longer ones, lots of variation to keep you interested and on your toes. It’s well priced as well compared to other paintballing locations I’ve been to. Friendly and helpful staff. Couldn’t recommend more!

We were thoroughly looked after from start to finish, from the booking stages and organisation to the campfire at the end of the day.
Great tuition and safety briefs on the quads and clay pigeon, really enthusiastic and helpful
Day ran without a hitch, kept to schedule and campfire was made on arrival back to camp to warm our fingers and toes
We were lucky with the weather, I am not sure the same experience if it had rained all day
Glamping village was spotless on arrival, pods already warm and kitchen facilities were all there ready to go (save a pot or pan)
BBQ hut was very cute and definitely a popular area to gather and natter.
It was great to be able to relax and enjoy ourselves and an awesome way to spend the day as a team
My only two negatives:
Beds are made for children not adults, leaving not a lot of room to move around and if you are taller than 5'4 you are going to struggle to fit.
The conference room is quite compact. There were 20 of us and we only really just fit in there when you add tables to the equation.
Would definitely recommend and would happily go back!

Great to hear you enoyed your visit!
Our bunk beds are standard single bunk beds, and they came from the Olympic Village! We have had many a rugby player sleep in them, including Northapmton Saints!
Our woodland meeting room is really more of a meeting room with basic facilities than a conference room. It's the perfect location for a quick meeting, around a team building day.
We do hope to see you again in 2022! : )

What a fantastic find this was! We took our boys aged 11 and 12 on the hour long quad safari and had the best time - we didn’t want it to end.
Our instructors were the lovely George and Sam who were great fun and explained what we should expect from the session, starting off with a safety briefing followed by a few practice laps to get used to the quad bikes.
Once we’d mastered the practice track George les us off into the woods, perfect terrain for quad bikes, a real mixture of tracks and corners and mud! They supply overalls so you don’t need to worry too much about getting dirty.
The nicest thing was being in a group with just our family and the two instructors, so we didn’t need to worry about other people’s abilities or whether we were going too fast or slow, we could set the pace that we were happy with (definitely went flat out in places!).
The setting is absolutely perfect, a gorgeous woodland location on the Hereford / Wales border.
We will DEFINITELY be back next time we’re in the area, absolutely loved it.

We had a Fantastic time quad biking this week. My daughter really struggled at the start but the instructors were brilliant with her, giving great advice and ultimately confidence to enable her to fully partake in the whole experience. I was worried that this would impact on the enjoyment for my son but I needn’t of been. We were all able to have a amazing time. Can’t recommend this enough.

is it possible for a family (2 adults) with 1 child to visit and participate, or do you have to be part of a larger group?
Written 7 July 2017
Hi sorry - just seen this question. All our activities are pre booked. We can sometimes fit in small family groups mid week. Or we have a family adventure day this Sunday - £80 for a family of 4 for full day of activities.

Written 7 July 2017
Hi - thanks for your enquiry. For most of our activities we do require a min number of 8, although we can sometime accept smaller groups (min 4) mid week, subject to availability. As a family of 3 there are 2 possible options thought - We have a family adventure day on Sunday 13th August - more info see our web site.
Or we have a family woodland Krypton trail open mid week in school holidays which is self guided
Please contact us if you wish to book either of these.
Thanks
Kate
