On 10/12 walked down to Crystal Cove from the Marriott Newport Coast Villas. The scenery is beautiful! Beach, ocean, hills, etc. Walked along the beach and saw the bungalows - some of which have been rehabbed - others are in the process. If you want...More

A quaint little beach off the southern coast of California, it's a great place to go for a walk especially during sunsets. I highly recommend it especially on a date. Make sure to bring a jacket or shawl if your planning on watching the sunset...More

I went here specifically to go hiking and found an easy 4 mile trail that was described as "difficult." It was almost all on fire roads, with just a short stretch that might be described as single track, but even that was pretty wide. The...More

You can take a walk or jog on the beach along the edge of the Pacific Ocean, great restaurant, cottages to rent, best of all is a cliff that allows the sounds of waves to be heard (blocks PCH car noise). Join people near restaurant...More

We were drawn by the movie location but stayed for the gorgeous surf. Walking under PCH was fun and safe, as was the entire state park. Very clean and well maintained. Wandering past the restored vintage beach cottages was a plus and a step back...More

It’s right on the coast highway and it’s a beautiful stop along a drive either north or south. It can be crowded in the summer but a fall beach walk is well worth it.

I didn't get to spend a lot of time here. But I enjoyed walking along the beautiful beach with little rock pools. The bungalows are also interesting. One tip: Eat at the Beachcomber and get a voucer for the $15 fee to park at the...More

Our first visit, during the late October heat wave, saw us park up behind the beach. We walked down the long winding path to the sand below, admiring the surf as we went. The whole beach was clean, tidy and inviting from the start. Once...More

Crystal Cove/El Moro campground is fantastic! The views are awesome. The campground is clean and the hiking is perfect. Each campsite is very big with space in front of your rig (or whatever) for chairs and blankets. The sites are tiered to allow a coastal...More

If you are staying at one of the cottages, there is a loading area close by. Parking itself is further away. Follow the road down from PCH toward the Beachcomber restaurant to get to the turnabout where you can drop off your... More

I would call their office and ask questions. It would be a fun stay. I don't know how long the wait list is for cottages. When I go there this week, I will try to find out more info.
