There are beautiful features to admire as you approach this majestic building, including fountains and other architectural details. Inside, you discover that it is much larger than you thought it was. In the elevator, the walls are covered with old card catalog cards.

Built in the early 20th Century, the interiors are magnificent and so well preserved. The library is huge with different levels and even has a children's library. With so many new buildings, Los Angeles will forever preserve this part of its early history.

I did a scavenger hunt around the library and the local neighborhood. The library is beautiful and has a lot of history. It's worth a quick stop.

The Los Angeles Central Library is eclectic, offers so much, not matter the interest, from the literary to the researcher, including an impressive genealogy section and changing exhibits. The interior mixes eras in its architecture. The gardens include a peace bell. The metro is less than two blocks away so accessibility should not be a problem. The current exhibit is... More

A gem of a public library and an architectural one as well. It's nice to see such a nice public space. Wander the building and enjoy the space.

This downtown central library is a great starting place to get to know Los Angeles. There is paid parking which is better on the weekends. For a visitor, you can use the wifi or get some books about Los Angeles. Then begin to explore. I would recommend an inside docent tour , just check for times and remember the outside... More

The central library is a landmark historical building. Last time in order to keep the original character, the big addition went down in stead of went up. Inside of the building you will not feel it is built underground. All kind of art and culture design merge into the building.

This library is beautiful. It's worth just going to visit for a day, especially if you have kids. It also has many many books, but even if you're not planning to take out any books, just exploring the building is worth the visit.

Thank churwitz
