The best tours in L.A.! We actually did 2 tours in one day because we were hooked! We went last summer too, and couldn't wait to come back! You can't go wrong with Dearly Departed Tours! They are so knowledgeable and entertaining!

This was a great experience. Our guide, Brian was funny animated and full of knowledge. He added a number of drive by locations to show us historical points of interest. . I would recommend it to Hollywood fanatics and anyone visiting LA. I liked the cemetery stop the best, got to pay my respects to some old time favorites.

I love the macabre and the darker side of everything. So, this was on the top of my list for my LA visit. They moved to a new site and didn't update people so I ended up going to the wrong place. Then, the museum was available because of the move. Anyway, they understood and refunded some of my ticket.... More

One never knows how events in one's life will turn out until they are finished...We did not know for sure how this tour would be due to it's dark subject matter. However, this tour was fun and we learned a lot about the shadier side of Los Angeles. The tour guide was funny, serious and had a touch of irony... More

I love that the building is near Hollywood forever cemetery, we went there afterwards and walked around. Very neat.

The tour was good fun and we thought the guide was very friendly and informative. We are aware that the previous toilet break was in the same toilets that George Michael was caught in and wanted to go there but appreciate that things happen out of the control of the guides as none of this belongs to the tour company.... Our guide was Brian who had an infectious enthusiasm for his tour, which he rightly took a great deal of pride in. It was fun and interesting, but I was hoping for more intrigue and drama rather than celebrity a lived here. Things like why he says Marilyn was murdered not an accidental death, other suspects for the Black Dahlia... More

For everyone who likes their tours a little bit different, this is definitely the one for you. There have been a whole range of celebrity deaths and darkly goings-on in Hollywood and these guys will take you on a wild ride to discover them all! Informative, funny and sometimes a little bit ghastly. Worth the trip!

Tour was fantastic. Our guide had a wealth of information about all kinds of facts and details. He added a number of drivebys to show us historical points of interest. The greatest bonus was a stop at Westwood Village cemetery. More celebrities per square foot than any other cemetery in LA county. Wish this stop could have been extended to... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
