I would definitely recommend the LA in a day bike tour. We saw parts of LA that I never even knew existed. Very interesting and full of historical information. Very beautiful also. The first part of the ride is the hilly part, the rest is easy. Our guide Nina was highly entertaining and super informative. We really enjoyed this tour... More

I don't usually like touristy kinds of things but this hike was cool. I didn't expect to learn so much about the history of LA, Hollywood, the Observatory and G Griffith. It was actually quite interesting history. Our guide Eric was energetic, informative, and made it interesting. The hike is listed as moderate difficulty but I thought it was super... More

I strongly recomend! It is a health and an amazing way to explore the city. The bikes are new and the guide awesome. Is not necessary to be an athelety but you must have a good shape.

The trip was 3 hours, but very simple stuff. My two daughters did it with us. The guide Erick was great, and FULL of history and knowledge. He made the trip great.

I did the hike end of November. Our guide Kelly was great and shared many interesting fun facts with us. The hike itself was nice, however I felt like you could have easily done it by yourself (we only used main paths). So it felt slightly overpriced to me.

We took the 'LA in a Day-tour' with Bikes and Hikes. Erick was our guide and he knows a lot of stories! It's a 35 mile trip through West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Santa Monica, Venice, Marina del Rey and Culver City (maybe I forgot some..) We've seen a lot of special places and the places get more special... More

I toured Griffith Park with Bikes and Hikes LA's "Sunset Hike" during the last week of December and I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this excursion. We ended up hiking for a satisfying 2.5 - 3 hours, stopping to check out the sights and learn about the history of the area and the entire city from our awesome guide, Mina and her... More

Our family of 4 did both the Hollywood Hills hike with Matt on Dec 30 and the LA for the Day bike tour on Dec 31. Both were excellent. We were very well taken care of by our guides and the office staff. Highlight of our trip. Great value. thanks

My husband and I did this bike tour with our three kids (16, 19, 22) and their friend (22). Erick, our tour guide, was fabulous. Not only did he give us the history of all of the landmarks we passed, he was very instructive on road safety. This tour wound through the streets of LA and Hollywood. Some were side... More

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
