The Grand Central market as a must visit for a taste of DTLA. Whether it's eggslut for breakfast or Carnitas from lunch this place rocks! They've added a few new brewery vendors that serve local beer as well. This is a great spot to stop in for a flavor of Los Angeles.

I found an interesting mix of basic Mexican regional food stalls and hipster places. The bathroom was cleaner than expected, given the serious homeless problem in the area.

Planned on trying out Wexler's Deli and much to my surprise it was one of many dining choices in the Grand Central Market. Walked through and checked out all of the little places while I was waiting for a friend. We settled on Wexler's and had their pastrami sandwiches. We would have tried Eggslut, but the line was soooo long.... More

Popped in here after visiting the Bradbury Building opposite, loads of interesting food stalls and little cafes which were very busy at lunchtime (especially the wonderfully named Eggslut). Definitely worth a visit if in downtown LA.

Saw this in the guide books and as we were staying not too far strolled along after check-in. Had a great snack and decided to breakfast next day and then for lunch, returned numerous times as there are a variety of outlets serving all sorts of food, there is a recently fashionable egg outlet and it's queue seems full of... I would recommend for all locals. Ton of great dining options. My wife got tons of Mexican candy and I can't wait to try the different dining options.

Spent a day downtown and stopped in here for lunch. We went for the the pizza and salad at Olio. One of the simplest yet greatest salads i've ever had, and the pizza was great too. perfect size to share a quick bite. I passed on a beer this time, but they had a few IPA's on tap, and bottled... Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
