About
This sprawling outdoor shopping hub is one of California’s most popular malls. Before flocking to the stores, board the free double-decker Grove Trolley to The Original Farmers Market where you can browse gourmet groceries and specialty foods. Back at the mall, you'll find a range of fashion-forward brands and pop-up stores. When hungry, choose between classic American grub, Italian dining, or fast food amidst other cuisines. Be sure to stay for the spectacular light show at the Dancing Fountain as well. Visit The Grove as part of a LA highlights tour, or as a self-guided retail therapy. – Tripadvisor

Whatever is your taste in cuisine , I think you’d fine it there. And whether you wish to shop at Nordstrom’s and other large shops or at small budget friendly places you can take your pick. There’s so much to do and so much to see. And if you are taking the hop on hop off buses there’s a convenient stop very close by.Visited June 2024Travelled with familyWritten 6 June 2024

- MelissaWPShorewood, Illinois523 contributionsa pleasant oasis & escapeWe came here on a late Wednesday morning after checking out of our LA hotel and before driving to Palm Springs to enjoy a lovely stroll through the outdoor area and farmers market. This was a pleasant albeit small-ish oasis and escape from some of the now-unpleasant tourist sites in and around LA. The overall grounds were exceptionally well manicured and beautiful. The farmers market had abundant options for purchasing delicious food to eat there and delectable treats to take home. You may also glimpse a celebrity sighting here, which makes it even more of a fun memory. TIP: Park in the farmers market lot, buy something, get validated.Visited March 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 22 June 2024
- teresa wLos Angeles, California121 contributionsEnjoy The Grove!Always love The Grove. Especially The Cheesecake Factory. During the summer they have live music in front of the stores until 8pm. The children play on the lawn. High rise apartments are in the area. So, families come to let their children get their exercise. Always check out the Nordstrum Dept. Store for their clearance racks for what's on sale! Right next to the Farmers Market! And the movie theater is there in case you want to check out the latest release! Nice dancing water show in the pond! Smaller than Americana on Brand but still a good place to spend the evening!Visited June 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 26 July 2024

It was a lovely day to stroll through The Grove's outdoor shopping center. Not only is there a large Nordstrom department store, but also a movie theater, clothing stores, cosmetics stores, an American Girl store and several restaurants. Dancing fountain water spirts in the center pond are interesting to watch.

Such a beautiful mall with great shops and restaurants BUT the parking management is disingenuous. Shops and restaurants will "validate" your parking for 2 hours, but once you go over by 1 minute your validation is revoked and voided. I went over my "validation" by 10 minutes and was charged $8. I called the manager to complain and was told that there are signs informing visitors that the "validation" is just pretend if you go over 2 hours. I never saw any signs.
It's a shame to spend money in shops and restaurants just to be disrespected by a parking policy that seems to be designed to rip off customers.

Great Place to Shop and Great Place to People Watch. The Grove is very different than most outdoor shopping venues. It has such a variety of shopping and dining experiences. Sometimes there is entertainment and it is always buzzing with people of all ages. Some people visit just to experience the Vibe, the Experience and a beautiful walking place. It is right adjacent to the "OLD" Farmer's Market which is a historic landmark.

This place is a joke. They lie to you! They validate parking but once you leaving the place they will charge you full price. So many reviews about parking. All they will say is that the parking management is separate. The parking lady was so rude and she said please go ahead and pay and hang up.
And btw , on google they delete bad reviews. Such a shame Caruso.

This was a nice outdoor mall. The central garden was a nice place to hang out and meet up with friends or take photos. Many of the restaurants had views of the garden and the water spouts. Most of the high end and chain stores were located here along the main drag or off on the small side streets. A large movie theater was close to the center and lots of signs all around the mall promoting the upcoming new movie, In The Heights. With some easing of COVID, the electric trolley was running from the front to the back of the mall. It was a double decker and free to ride. At the end of the mall was the Farmers Market which was a better option for different varieties of casual food. The only annoying part of our visit was having to pay for parking. I’ve notice more and mall installing gates and pay kiosks but suspended them during COVID. However not here.

The best hidden secret in the USA is in this mall. A ASOS | NORDSTROM store is located in this mall, and it is the only one in the United States. While the Nordstrom store has a little of this design, the specialized store and the other end of the outdoor mall is the one to take teenage daughters. My teenagers loved this store and even found dresses in size 0 which they both need to fit.
The rest of the mall is beautiful and is worth the stop. Parking does cost money but it is worth it, and the food available is high quality. It is a very pleasant place to shop and eat as long as the weather is good (and it mostly is).

So I typically never write reviews like this but in this case it's a must! I was at The Grove only for 1 hour and was charged $10 for parking!! Even Westfield Mall in Century City will provide you 1 hr. free without validation. I tried to get my parking ticket validated to find out that only a few selected stores can do so. The stores I purchased from could not validate parking. I went to the concierge desk to express my surprise and discontent with this high charge for an hour visit (I was expecting perhaps $2-4, but not $10 for this time frame!). I was simply re-directed to the parking office. The parking office simply said that it was normal to be charged $10 for 61 minutes and that they could charge me now for parking. It never used to be this expensive. When did parking fees change? I also informed the parking office that I cannot be the only person complaining about this and silence was the response. Please revert parking fees to what they were before.

We went to the food court at The Grove in mid-October for an early lunch around 11:30 am on a Saturday. We were pleased by the spacing of the tables and staff that were wiping down tables and chairs after each use. The area was getting somewhat busy but there were still a few open tables the further you went into the food court. Tables and chairs are positioned in an open air partially covered area.
There are a lot of food options to eat here and our family ordered from different places. Two people in our party ordered different versions of chicken sandwiches with a side of tater tots from Fritzi Coop. Dad ordered a chicken shawarma wrap from Moishe’s. We all shared bites from each other’s order and found the food very good. There is plenty of parking in lots around this location and they do validate with a food purchase.

Rene Rodriguez, (the initial face that you see at this resort) was very consistent and reliable. He was very committed to accommodate and rectify minor situations making my family feel very at home and have an enjoyable experience despite unforeseen circumstances.

How much will it cost to park a car if you want to spend the day at the Grove?

Hola!! esta abierto el 1 de enero?
Written 3 December 2019

Hi Tiziana, There is not a direct subway but you can take the Red Line and take the 780, 217, or 218 bus. Or, you can take the Purple Line and take the 720 and the 218 bus. You can always locate routes from the metro transit site.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
Best,
Anthony
