Love this place! Nothing pretentious...just a lovely, affordable family hot spring in an unbeatable location. There are beautiful hikes...long or short...all around. Take one before or after or, better yet, use your all-day pass to soak at both ends. Ranger Adam was a wealth of...More

Always one of our favorite destinations to soak in naturally heated mineral water at a beautiful location. A little out of the way, so allow sufficient travel time. Better yet, bring lawn chairs and a picnic lunch to extend your time there, or book a...More

Others go to the park to camp or swim in the hot pool. We go there to hike. There is a good range of trails from short and easy to long-ish and stiff. If you carpool you can hike right over the ridge into the...More

I love this campground. The surroundings are gorgeous. The hot springs are a little funky or better said rustic but in my experience that's how hot springs usually are unless you are spending a lot more money. The campground is the best I've stayed at...More

Used to visit this lovely place annually & will be heading up again soon. Nice, rustic open-air pools - one large hot springs pool, one cool smallish swimming pool. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountain sides & the meadow it sits in. Campsites were always...More

The campground sites, if chosen correctly, are spaced well apart and there is some privacy. We were in #66, which is a good tent site, and it looks like #51 is also good. In our section there were two restrooms, one with shower facilities (pay...More

Beautiful hike to the falls. Then a relaxing soak in the mineral pool. Unbelievable scenery while you soak your cares away. Bring a picnic lunch, since there are no concessions in the park. Great bargain at $7 per person for everything!

We visit here quite often when we travel to the South Lake Tahoe area. The hot pool is very relaxing and the cold pool is refreshing. The views of the surrounding mountains whilst reclined in either pool lends itself to experience. This is a hidden...More

The hike cannot be shortened as it is a straight trail to and from the waterfall. I cannot recall the exact distance, but my daughter did it when she was 4 years old. We hiked it this summer and I want to say that it is 4-5... More

There are spaces right at the pool yes. But they fill up first. There is a ranger on the gate who diverts you to the further away parking. Any reasonable ranger would let you head up to the ranger parking spot at the pool

Dogs are allowed, on leash, at the campground and on the trails. They are not allowed in the pool area.
