I have seen some great plays here. Two of my favorites was "To Kill A Mockingbird" and some time ago "Guts and Dolls". Te acting is always great. The venue is very small making amost seat a "good" seat from which to view

Gypsy. My wife and daughter went and saw the Playhouse Merced Production of Gypsy last Saturday night. As always, a top performance by the local group. The lady who played Mama had an outstanding singing voice. The Lady who played Gypsy was also very good.

Stephen King penned his 3rd novel, "The Shining" in 1977. It was adapted to a film of the same name in 1980. It has also been adapted to live theater, but before Playhouse Merced, it has been performed just twice. Playhouse Merced does it again!...More

Moved to Merced about 4 months ago and have seen 3 different shows at Playhouse Merced - Rock of Ages, Addams Family and Beauty and the Beast. All were fantastic and we are looking forward to more shows this coming year.
