If you’re visiting Monterey then you NEED to stop by the aquarium. There’s so much to see! Very educational and breathtaking all in one. If you’re planning on checking it out I’d say you should clear most of the day. It’s huge and absolutely stunning....More

We got to the aquarium in time to see the sea otters being fed (a must if you like these cute creatures!) which was a highlight for me. The exhibits are informative as well as beautifully laid out. I think 2 hours is the minimum...More

Superb educational tool for visiting children and school parties. Explanations on conservation and the oceans very good. Overall though whilst all of the...More

Taking the grandkids (10 and 8) was even more wondrous than the several times we'd visited without them. They must have left handprints on the glass of every tank, touched every sea creature and plant in the hands-on exhibits, and added their "ooooohs," and "aaaahs,"...More

We walked the 3.3 miles from out hotel on the Monterey Peninsula Trail. Nicely paved mostly flat path between road and ocean. Half for bikes other half for walkers and runners. Got to Aquarium at opening, wrongly thinking might be little slower when first opened....More

We travelled on Highway 101 and it was fine. It is a long journey so we broke it up by stopping off at Pismo Beach
