Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This park is located just before you reach Cannery Road and between Cannery Row and the Fisherman’s wharf.

There are several benches where you can sit and watch the surf and the wildlife. There is also a nice grass area that you can sit in to have a picnic and enjoy the park.

There are lots of scuba diving classes and people in the water. From sitting on the bench, we saw many types of birds, as well as sea otters, an elephant seal, sea lions, and Pacific Harbor seals.

We were returned to spend some time at San Carlos Beach on a hot day in Monterey. Others were there to enjoy it. Some were fishing; others diving. There are information signs. Its also a good area for a walk.

San Carlos Beach at Monterey is a great place to visit on a Sunny day. It is located close to Cannery Row and to the Coast Guard Pier. You can choose to walk along the water or sand; as well as to sit on the grassy lawns with family and friends. You can also enjoy a Picnic there. It is along the Trail which runs from Cannery Row upto the Fisherman's Wharf, meant for bikers, walkers and runners. You can also see some scuba divers there. A fine beach to enjoy during your visit to the Monterey.

We walked by the beach, but didn't stay there long. It's beautiful. Looks like a great place to stay and play in the water or just lay around.

Located between the southern end of Cannery Row and the Coast Guard Pier / breakwater, San Carlos Beach is a small sandy beach that is a popular entry point for scuba divers and provides visitors the opportunity to view sea otters from the breakwater. With parking and a public park in front of the beach, this was also a popular family destination on the sunny Saturday afternoon we visited with kids enjoying the sand at low tide.

San Carlos Beach is situated on the north end of Cannery Row and adjacent to the Fisherman's Wharf area. The beach and coastal areas are very pristine offering wonderful views of Monterey Bay and the scenic harbor area. Also this has been a favorite place for many scooba enthusiasts.

I went walking on this with my wife. Lots of snorkelers, scuba divers (about 50 or so). Some hardy souls went wading (it was February). Enjoyable, lots of cyclists.

Great place to see sea lions! You cannot get close to them, but you would watch them resting, "walking" and swimming! You would also hear a lot of noise from them.

Great beach down the street from our hotel. Pretty place to watch the sunset and boats. Went here every day during our stay in Monterey Bay.
