We enjoyed this whalf. It has more than others have on it. Lots of shops and food all in a very short walk. Very clean and well kept. Has a second level with additional stores. Views of the water at the end. Definitely worth the...More

Fun area here, some touristy gift shops and row of seafood restaurants. Ate at a couple and both were very good. Whale watch tours launch from here as well. A great place to grab dinner at night and walk around a bit, good atmosphere and...More

We decided to take a nice tour of the wharf and the shops...as soon as we walked there, there were a group of young, homeless people that ran up to us and started demanding that we give them money...it was awful and scary. My husband...More

Went here with wife and adult son. The wharf is nice for a meal and a quick stroll. I would stop here if you are passing through but don’t make a trip just to see the wharf. Plenty of sea food places and some are...More

Fisherman's Wharf is quite commercial and very touristy, but it is still always fun to visit. There are many seafood restaurants etc. We tasted almost 10 different clam chowders. :)

My wife's first and primary request on her birthday is to go to Monterey and it never disappoints. Really fun to tramp up and down the wharf with great restaruants and seagoing opportunities. We saw huge pelicans next to our restaurant window.

A nice walk from our hotel, fish markets at the end of the pier and a good place to view sea lions and otters playing in the water.

Yes, it is a lovely wharf in a great setting. But it is crowded with souvenir shops, and restaurants (some of which have little to do with Monterey). If you are looking for a fish restaurant - this is THE Place to go.

This is a dense area. In high season (roughly May through October) it's over-run with tourists and can be difficult to navigate on foot. I imagine a wheelchair adds an extra layer of difficulty with that. The boardwalk is... More

They open around 9 or ten, but not really sure our first stop was the aquarium, that morning, breakfast shops open early, but once open lots to see and buy.
