We highly-recommend this fantastic guided kayak tour!!! Elkhorn Slough is loaded with sea otters and harbor seals, plus a wide variety of winter migrating birds. Our expert naturalist guide, Jon Forbes, helped us see and understand the otters' behavior, including families and nursing pups, and stay a respectful distance from them. With wetsuits provided we were unbothered by the light... More

My fiance and I participated in the 3:00 kayaking tour with Carla as our guide. We were the only people in the tour. Carla was personable and funny. She was knowledgeable of the area and ocean life. The weather was gorgeous for February. This was a highlight of our trip. Would recommend! Great price, fun tour. We'll be back!

Had a great time. We had one of their guides lead our little expedition of two kayaks. They provide wet suits to keep you warm out on the bay, and showers to rinse of the salt and sand afterwards. During launch and return you'll probably be up to your knees in the water, so footware that doesn't mind getting wet... More

We took the sunrise tour with Kate. She was very knowledgable and ensured we everything the bay had to offer-baby otters riding on mum's tummy, seals, seal lions and the highlight- a grey whale surfaced 90 feet from our kayak!. Worth the cold morning start. We won't forget it

Luke was an incredible guide. He started with a short but remarkably instructive guide on paddling. We weren't novices, but his tips helped us increase our efficiency and better enjoy this 2.5 hour experience. The guide was knowledgable, enthusiastic, and fun. He knew the area so well and made this experience very memorable. Highly recommended!

The staff was helpful at getting us ready for the trip, helping us choose the best waterproof sleeve for our phones, etc. They also did a good safety briefing before sending us off. They give good direction in where to go, what to avoid, staying out of the bath of boats, etc. We only took our phones to take photos... More

We had a guided tour of Elkhorn Slough. I can't recommend this highly enough- it was quite simply one of the best things I've ever done. Our guide was great fun, could answer all my children's questions and made sure we saw everything the Slough has to offer - but all at a really relaxed pace. It's a beautiful place... More

We took a family trip to Elkhorn Slough on kayaks with the Monterey Bay Kayak company and it was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!! Despite the rain, we saw tons of wildlife and the paddling was just challenging enough to keep our teenagers engaged and our little ones busy. The guides were talented, thoughtful and super upbeat. Never felt unsafe for a moment... More

We took a 2.5 hour guided kayaking trip of the slough and it was beautiful. We saw sea otters, seals, tunicates, fish, birds and an amazing sunset. Our guide, John, was incredibly knowledgeable and very nice and conversational as well. The equipment, from wet suits to kayaks, was first rate. No experience required. Highly recommended.
