Monterey is one of the most beautiful places in California. Spend an hour walking, biking or jogging on this trail and see Otters, seagulls, seals and sea lions. There's nothing like it.

It was just beautiful to walk along the coast! We got a long walk in and saw amazing scenery! We walked from Fisherman's Wharf where we saw otters and sea lions to Lover's Point.

This recreation trail follows the coastline along the Monterey Bay - it is a long ago conversion of a rail line right-of-way. What a view! Wonderful ocean breezes complement the warm sunshine and stunning environment to inspire nearly anyone to get out and move!

This part of the Monterey Peninsula is one of the most amazing trails you could ever encounter. I could spend hours and hours on this trail watching people, wildlife, the crashing waves and the epic views.

The trails are well-maintained, easy to follow and had beautiful views. Along our walk we saw sea lions, harbor seals, otters, interesting rock formations, surfers, etc.

I was able to run this trail before sunrise and at sunset when I attended a conference in Monterey. The trail is easily accessible and has some great views of the bay and ocean. It is crowded during the day with walkers and cyclists. Also, at sunset, the ocean portion of the trail does get a bit crowded.

I absolutely LOVE this trail! It's excellent for walkers, runners, bicyclists. SO many places to stop and sit and enjoy the views. Lover's Point is fun to visit. Be sure to take full advantage of this trail!
