I have visited this museum many times over the past 40 years. I always come away with a bit of knowledge I didn't have before. Nicely done displays and dioramas of the local flora and fauna will impress you. Take some time and hike around the museum grounds and up to the heron rookery. Pack a picnic lunch, or bring... More

We were pleasantly surprised at how good this little museum is! There were a nice variety of exhibits about the bay, weather, climate, environment -- everything very well done. And there are several well-informed and interesting docents who really enhance the experience. There's also a small gift shop with nice things for sale -- all of which benefit the park.... More

The museum is wonderful, but it's a very, very long walk for people with disabilities; ie using a cane or walker. This was a big issue for us.

The displays and exhibits were updated and informative, and the Docents helped us understand life in an estuary.

It's a small little gem right above the kayak launching dock. The museum is SUPER interactive - everything moves, talks, spins, makes sounds - the amount of information presented is astonishing for such a little place. The telescope that allows to view Morro Rock is a special bonus. Add whale bones. Add $3 admission and $1 magnets (seriously where else... More

This museum is very interactive. The displays lead you through the natural history of the area in a well thought out way. Children would love this place. The guides are very knowledgeable and all for $3 an adult.

This museum was a unexpectedly wonderful visit! It only costs $3 (free to campers) to view the interactive exhibits and extensive collection waterfowl and sea animal taxidermy. Its a great museum for children and adults. Good gift shop, too!

I have been there numerous times, It has self guided tours, plus doscent lead functions. Low cost and a nice gift shop. One can learn a lot and want to come back more than once.
