My wife and I rented a double kayak here, based on the details of the website. We were able to see sea lions, seals, sea otters, pelicans, and other wildlife. It was well worth the money. The equipment was in good shape, and the staff...More
I've lived in the South bay for years and just heard about Moss Landing. Took my 8 and 10 year old kids, and brought a friend and her child, too. Most anyone should be able to kayak, so not much skill is needed, and you...More
We’d booked this trip as part of our holiday in the hope of seeing some sea otters and we weren’t disappointed. Our guide, Matt, was very knowledgable, and passionate about the wildlife and the marine habitat in general. We got to see and learn about...More
I was up in the Monterey area visiting a friend and it was recommended to us to Kayak here. After the safety video and instructions we put our gear on and headed down to the closed-kayaks. We were both pretty inexperienced. I’m a bit of...More
We came for a family tour. Naomi and Jake were our guides. So knowledgeable. So friendly. So good with everyone from our 8 year old who was a bit nervous to our teenagers. They taught us how to kayak, showed us amazing wildlife and were...More
This is a great place for introductory kayaking. You kayak into a slough with very calm waters, close by shores, not deep water. You can do single, double or triple kayaks. The slough is loaded with otters, seals, and pelicans. You will see lots of...More
This was the overwhelming favorite of our entire group (7 of us). We took the 3 hour tour since none of us had ever used a kayak before. Our tour guide, Kaitlyn, was fantastic. After a short training session, we were off. 3 double &...More
Apr.12, 2018 - I'd heard great things about Elkhorn Slough kayaking, but everything exceeded expectations! After a short safety video, we met Amber in...More

Went out for a 3 hour tour, spent about 1+ hour in the harbor, then moved to the start of the slough.
Guide said that the wind was too much to paddle in, and assured us that we would all get a full refund since...More

I believe they did have some single kayaks available that you would be able to go in. Or if there are other people in the group they would probably pair you with another odd numbered group. They are very accommodating and I don't foresee this being an issue. The guide could also go in the double with you. Have a great time, this kayak experience was incredible!
