Enjoyable Day Golfing at Shoreline Golf Links
Nov 2020
We went golfing at Mountain View. This is a nicely laid out golf course. We rented golf carts. We had a fun day golfing.

Fun Time Playing Golf
Jul 2020
We played golf here again on a delightful sunny July day The golf course staff are super nice, There is a restaurant (Michael's) on site.

The greens are nicely maintained. There were lots of others playing golf the day we were there.

While my husband won, I still had a great time playing.

Mosquito Abatement Needed
Aug 2019 • Friends
Played there last week with friends and it was a hot day, so all of us were in shorts. Everyone one of us ended up with mosquito bites! We have played shoreline numerous times in the past and have NEVER experience mosquito bite issues. This is the first time we play this course in several months and we all suffered bites, and yes, these are mosquito bites as we all saw them landing on our legs and had to swat it away. A serious mosquito abatement program need to be implemented immediately! If you're going to play there, douse yourself with insect repellent before teeing off...

Nice golf course, not too difficult
Jun 2018 • Solo
I was there on a really hot Sunday afternoon. Being in the area on a business trip I did not have my golf clubs with me, but was able to rent a brilliant set after I had some good advice at the Club House. I decided to walk the course, which was the wrong thing to do as it was hot, hot, hot, and walking 18 holes can get a bit tiring. Overall I had fun, and did not loose a single ball. It was not too challenging, but I guess that depends on your experience.

Not in a great condition but blessed with natural beauty
Jul 2017 • Family
This course has so much space! Practice putting, chipping and range areas are well-separated. The restaurant is good but not open for dining. The golf course, however, would have been so much better if not for burrowing owls, which are protected, have dug big holes everywhere. Since these holes can't be touched, squirrels have taken advantage and grown big as well.

Fun Course To Play
May 2017 • Friends
This golf course is located near the Shoreline Amphitheater and Google Headquarters where you must pass through a security guard station to enter. However, more often than not, there is no one manning the station so you can just drive right through. This golf course is pretty flat and is walkable for 18 holes, and the walk from green to tee box is relatively short (except from the 9th green to the 10th tee box). The layout is not too challenging unless it's windy which can happen mainly in the afternoons. The city of Mountain View does a decent job maintaining the course so it's normally in good playing condition. One of the cons of the course is their bunkers which normally does not hold enough sand to hit out of as your club would bottom out quickly due to the shallow sand. This is not a good draining course so it tends to muddy if there's a heavy rain storm. However, all in all, it is a fun course to play and not overbearing in terms of difficulties...

Had some great rounds here...
Aug 2016 • Friends
Had some enjoyable rounds of golf here, but it usually takes forever....

The pace of play can really be annoying especially at what they charge to play..

If you aren't a local and don't have a discount, I don't see how it is worth it.

The course isn't in the best shape either.

If you find a deal online, maybe give it a shot.

They do have a restaurant and a driving range..

Incompetent Pro Shop Staff, terrible course condition and Very Very Slow Golf
Oct 2015 • Friends
If you just plan to stop by for lunch in nice surroundings then go ahead.
Golf however is a different matter.
Firstly, the service in the pro shop was totally incompetent. It took 3 of us 45-minutes to get checked in for our golf due to complete confusion amongst the staff. They couldn't agree whether we were delayed for 40-minutes or if we could go straight out.
They didn't even bother to tell us that half of the course was closed and only the back 9 was open - we found this out when we followed a sign to the starter hut (at the 10th Tee) and he said just go around twice. He then told us our tee time was wrong, there was a delay. He called the pro shop and the story went round in circles again before he finally gave in and allowed us to play. Because only the back 9 holes were open the course was rammed. It took us almost 3 hours to play 9 holes!
The condition of the course was poor - fairways weren't well cut, badly damaged and the greens bobbled and didn't run true.
When we got back around to the 10th tee we found a long line of people waiting to tee-off so, having taken so long to play just 9-holes already, we decided to abandon the golf.
Had we been informed half the course was closed from the start we would have gone elsewhere. There are plenty of other courses in the area to choose from - we will definitely not be coming back to this one!!!

Not bad
Aug 2015
It's been a while since I played this course. The fact that they give you a free green fee within a week of your birthday with no strings attached, makes it worthy. I had a great round and a great time. The course is in good condition.

Greens in great condition
Jun 2015 • Friends
I just played yesterday and despite the drought, the course was in fairly good shape. The greens were rolling nicely.
