Fantastic tasting experience with great, welcoming, and fun staff

We scheduled a tasting here before our trip to Napa, having previously visited the winery. We were excited to try it again, given that the ownership had changed since our last visit.

We had a wonderful and highly personalized tasting experience. We tasted outside, given the pandemic; a tent over our table kept the sun away, which was appreciated.

Cubby led our tasting. He was hysterical, highly personable, and really knowledgeable. We had a blast! Just like last time, the Elyse wines were delicious—primarily Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon, along with a couple of blends. Big wines! What made this visit even more interesting than our first is that Elyse’s relationships with several other small wineries allowed us to taste more wines—including from some places that do not have their own tasting facilities. Many of these were spectacular. Cubby also did a really nice job pouring a couple of wines together and leading a comparative conversation.

This is a great experience—these are great wines, the tasting experience is fun and accessible, and you get to try things you would not get to try elsewhere. A must do, in our view!

Great wines. Really unique Sonoma coast Pinot - especially if you like cabs. Something for every type of wine drinker. Khris was a great host- both entertaining and informative. 3 couples tasted (at least?) 8 wines. One joined their wine club and all 6 tasting fees were waived. Best experience of the 9 wineries we visited over 3 days.

Okay, long story....We have a friend that is a member of their wine club. We live in Sonoma (right next to Napa). Our friend asked us to pick up some wine for him at the winery. We thought, no problem, we will do a tasting. We made an appointment before we went. Now, tell me, who makes an appointment to pick up wine??? We belong to many many wine clubs and that has not been the case. WE MADE THE APPOINTMENT TO TASTE! This was done with voice mail and no one had the courtesy to call us back. This extremely arrogant man-child basically ushered us out the door because he was too busy. Now again, we were there as representatives of a wine club member and were treated so poorly! In Sonoma (best wine area), when we have picked up club shipments, if they are too busy, they will just pour us a glass to enjoy. I think this winery is way too full of themselves and know nothing about hospitality. Folks, go to Sonoma for wine tasting. It is friendly and down to earth. We will NEVER be back even if we need to restock our wine cellar!

Wonderful experience!

We had only had time to pick one winery for a tasting during our visit to Napa Valley and Elyse was recommended by our accommodation. Such an amazing experience!!

It is a smaller vineyard without all the hype. The wines were superb and the selection of wines to taste based on the customer preferences instead of a set group of wines that are meant to appeal to everyone was truly remarkable. There was never any rush or major sales pitch, they let the wines speak for themselves and it was such a wonderful social experience learning about their wines and many other aspects of wine production that we had never understood before.

Highly recommend reserving an appointment for a tasting at Elyse if you have the opportunity.

Best winery experience in Napa
Nov 2019
We heard about Elyse from some friends and decided on a whim to stop by. Garrett greeted us at the door and invited us in. He was personable, friendly, funny and very helpful to learn more about their wines and Napa Valley. We learned more from him in our hour visit than all the other winery visits we had last week. He really made our trip special and we will soon join their wine club. The cabs are excellent and so are some of their special blends. We really loved the wines but it was Garret who won us over to Elyse!

Favorite winery visit of our trip!

We had a mid week tasting Garret while visiting on our honeymoon. The visit was our favorite stop on our trip to Napa.

- Excellent wine from their zinfendals, to their c'est si bon, to their single vineyard cabs. We cant wait to visit again!

Their wines have potential. I don’t know exactly how much or which ones because “Cubby” wouldn’t take his hands off the label and give any explanation of the wines whatsoever during the initial tasting. I say initial because I only got to taste two wines before voluntarily walking out. Why you ask? When I asked about the wine we were tasting, I was told Garrett was “waiting to get consensus from the table on if we all liked it” first (what if only some of us did?) and did not want people to pass judgment on the varietal before trying. Then progressed to saying that the tastings were “his stage” and he needed to maintain control of the audiences. So, if you’re into a blind tasting with a narcissist while on your well earned R&R, this is your place! Enjoy! Nostrovia!

A great time!
Sep 2019
We visited as part of a bike tour, and ended up wishing we lived nearby to visit as often as all the regulars who popped in (with doggies!) as we enjoyed our tasting. It was like Cheers, but in Napa with wine instead of in Boston and with beer. Such a great time, and the wine was delicious. Garrett was a blast. Great tasting experience, for sure!

We arrived on 4/20 to this vineyard. We had so much fun. Garrett was our host. He was amazing! We met Kaylee in our wine tasting group who was a hoot. We will be back for Easter next year! Amazing , fun place to Visit. Thanks to all staff there! Absolutely amazing.

What a great find!!! We were greeted in the parking lot and given the choice if we wanted to taste inside our out. Since the weather was so nice we opted to taste outside. The pours were generous and so were the hosts. I believe we tried 7 or 8 different wines. The hosts sat with us and told stories like we were old friends. We weren’t rushed either. We spent two hours here. We will absolutely be back. Thank you!!
