I have drank many bottles of Fontanella but this was my first visit. The grounds are beautiful, the employees are the greatest, and the wines are consistently the best year after year. From the GIII to the red table wine there are no wrong answers when partaking in this brand!

This was our first trip to Napa and this was the first winery we visited and it was the perfect start to our day. We have a private tasting with Julie who was so fun and personable. She was very knowledgable of their wines and really taught us a lot. That wines were fantastic. We found there are a lot... More

This winery and the people who work here are incredible and make you feel like family. We were greeted by Julie with a smiling face and a glass of wine who sat us outside on their cozy patio with an amazing view. She then brought us out some snacks and we began our tasting. She was very knowledgeable and so... More

My wife and I recently attended a wine club event at Fontanella Winery after being invited by our former neighbors who have been long term wine club members there. We lived less than a mile from the winery for many years yet we were not aware of the wonderful treasure in our own neighborhood, tucked away in the nearby hills.... More

This winery is off the beaten path as compared to most. When we pulled up I commented that this felt like a winery in southern Italy rather than California. This is a family business and it really shows. We did a barrel tasting of a couple of different wines. I can't say enough about this place.

Fontanella Family Winery creates the perfect combination of a personal tasting (with the amazing Jennifer Marley, if you're lucky!), and tour. Other wineries we visited offered either a group tour or a private tasting, but here we had both and felt like personal guests with behind-the-scenes access. To top it off, the wines were delicious. As we drove up the... More

Visited on a Sunday morning at 10:30am. And yes, people do drink wine that early. This was up a curvy mountain road and has a gate that they buzz you in. Megan met us at the car with some Chardonnay, which was a very nice touch. I really enjoyed the family atmosphere and intimacy of the tasting. Of all the... More

This was our last stop of the day and we had so much fun at this winery! And it's not just because we had been to three tastings already - Jennifer and Burt Reynolds were perfect hosts! We also had a barrel tasting and it was interesting to taste wines from grapes grown in different soils directly from the barrel.

We had our tasting with Meagan, and she was wonderful. She met us at the door with a nice glass of white. She was very knowledgeable and easy to talk with. The barrel tasting was a nice surprise to get to try. The setting was very peaceful and relaxing. We did not feel pressured to buy wine, but it was... More
