About
Nestled in the heart of Napa Valley's Oak Knoll District, Silenus Vintners is one of Napa's few multi-winery operations. We offer winemakers and vineyard owners the unique opportunity to produce their wines in our facility with many represented in our joint tasting room. We are currently home to fifteen of the Valley's most sought after boutique wineries who collectively produce more than 30 wines from some of the best-known vineyards in Napa and Sonoma Valleys. Please join us in our Napa Valley tasting room for a sampling of exquisite hand-crafted and hard-to-find Artisan wines. We offer the perfect blend of beautiful surroundings, fine wines, and camaraderie. An experience you're sure to remember!

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My wife and I had a great visit at Silenus! Ken was our host and was a lot of fun to talk to. He was knowledgeable about all of the wines from the different producers that use the winery and was fun to talk to about unrelated topics as well. The atmosphere in the outdoor seating area was quiet and peaceful. We were able to enjoy the wine and conversation without any distractions.
Silenus is one of our favorite wineries to visit and this time was no different. The staff always makes us feel welcome and we enjoy the variety of wines Silenus produces as well as many of the wines produced by the winemakers using their facilities.
On our way out of the winery, we happened to run into Scott, the Silenus President. He was enjoyable to talk to and made sure that we had had a good visit. The interaction put a nice bow on what was already a great visit. As long as we keep coming back to Napa Valley, we’ll keep visiting Silenus! I would highly recommend a visit!

My mom and I really enjoyed this wine tasting. The host was very nice and the tasting itself was really interesting! Would definitely recommend.

This was the second of two vineyards we visited on our bike tour (see that review), and our experience there blew the first visit away. This may have been because we were the only ones visiting at that time, or maybe that’s how the tour company set us up. First, instead of having us stand at the tasting bar, Hana, the representative, sat us down in a tasting room. She was so full of interesting information about the vineyard and lots of other topics. When she heard that we liked rose, she gave us a taste of that, too, even though it wasn’t on the original tasting list. The grounds themselves don’t offer a patio or any place else that I saw to sit (if that’s what you want to do). I would definitely visit this one again!

I have been to many many wineries. Very disappointed with the pours of the tasting. Literally they were so small- I wasn't even able to get a good enough taste to judge the wine. This was the worst pour amount I have ever had at a tasting. Literally 1 gulp. For the money of the tasting- avoid. Not enough to properly judge the wine.

My finance and I spent a Friday on a Platypus "Join In" wine tour of the Napa valley. The tour was excellent overall, but our stop at the Silenus Vineyard was by far the best tasting experience of the day. Scott was our tastemaster and he was absolutely incredible! He took time to share his extensive knowledge of both the wines and the small batch process they employ. He was friendly, outgoing and very approachable, traits that all too often are missing in wine tasting. We tasted 8 or 9 wines in all, including 3 or 4 "bonus" wines that weren't listed in the tasting fee. Because it was so enjoyable, I ended up buying more wine at this stop than all the others combined! I definitely recommend Silenus for anyone, particularly beginners who are still honing their tasting skills.

Took my girlfriend for her first wine tasting experience and started off at Silenus.
Jodi sat us outside at a table that was excellent and cozy with a beautiful view and started us out on some wines. Their wines were amazing and with Jodi walking us through the tasting, my girlfriend fell in love with most of the wines. We walked away with the Woodstock colleciton Honey Pie, an amazing wine.
Definitely worth a stop if you like some small production wines and a unique experience.

It was an awesome experience to taste very small batch wines created by wine professionals who are doing their own creations away from their wineries where they work all the time. We had some amazing wines.

My wife and I joined other wine tasting enthusiasts on a Platypus tour and loved Silenus Winery in Napa, CA. If you buy a bottle, the tasting fee is waived.

Nice concept of providing facilities for smaller winemakers. But nothing remarkable about tasting experience.
Best wines for me were Silenus Merlot and the eagle rose
