If you are going wine tasting, this should be your first stop. We got recommendations, maps and a guide from the Welcome Center.

Stopped in to check out the olive oils and balsamic vinegars that are for sale in the back half of the Center. Free tastings when we went. All oils are local, vinegars are from Modena. The maple balsamic knocked my socks off - soooo good!

Yes, there are many wineries that will welcome you without an appointment although you may have to wait a bit for your tasting if they are busy. The Napa Welcome Center has lots of information that would be helpful for you!
